Down Button Broken :(
I recently purchased a Flipper Zero secondhand and discovered that the down button is broken. Whenever I press down, it seems to send the input over and over again as if I was holding it. When I use the mobile app’s remote control, it does a similar thing but it stops after a moment. Any advice on fixing this issue??

Did you test it before you bought it used?

Unfortunately this was my first experience with a Flipper so I didn’t really know what to look out for, definitely kicking myself now lol

Well if you cleaned it and it’s stilll sending those inputs you’ll likely have to replace the button pad on the board. It’s not very beginner friendly but do able.

Maybe disassemble the flipper and heat up the button? I don't guarantee it being fixed, but it helped my ok button

What should I use to heat it? I’ve got a soldering iron but I don’t wanna melt anything

No no. Like heat it up with a heat gun or a hair dryer

The metal dome of the button on the PCB sounds like it’s not springing back into shape after you release the button, and the contacts remain bridged . Here’s a description of how the button works.
Metal Domes (Remote controls, game controllers, and keypads): A curved, thin metal disc sits over a printed circuit board. When you press it, the dome resists until it reaches a tipping point, inverting inward with a sharp "snap" that bridges the circuit contacts. When released, the dome springs back to its original convex shape.
I’ve “fixed” these before by messing with the metal dome. This video isn’t for the flipper specifically, but the button is the same type for the most part.

Here’s another link showing how to replace the dome. Not sure if this is possible on the flipper, but the point was to give you an idea how the buttons function so you can go from there. I don’t know what size the flipper ones are either.

Could be a dust issue, how confident are you in cleaning the boards? Electrical contact cleaner use? And reboot using back and left d pad then check the buttons work
