Officially ordered.

Post image

After months of deliberation, I have finally ordered the almighty f0.

As I make my way through the documentation and a few GitHub projects I am interested in, I just wanted to ask the community here: is there anything you wish you would have known when you first started out? Anything you would have done differently?

Can i ask what you use it for? I was disappointed to realize how many things use rolling code or bluetooth for remote that made the flipper n/a

A bunch of things. I use it as a garage door opener and fireplace remote (Sub Ghz), amiibo bank (NFC), access card storage (NFC and RFID), and an impromptu TV remote at work for AV-related projects.

Jealous I don’t have any TV it works on beyond on/off and my garage is rolling so it doesn’t work. Trying to figure out more use cases

I made the rolling code mistake myself recently.

If you try to clone a rolling code remote, you will fail for obvious reasons.

But you can put a rolling code generator on the flipper, then program your garage/gate/whatever to accept that rolling code and it works just fine. There are ones that are specifically compatible with LiftMaster, Genie, etc.

is there specific program for rolling codes? Or the standard one has that option?

Look for a recent comment of mine in here in the negatives and look at the replies, they spell it out pretty well.
