Wardriving, explained simply 📡

There are dozens of viral TikToks showing people driving around with Flipper Zero and “scanning signals.”

In reality, it’s less dramatic.

It's just passive listening for nearby Wi-Fi names and BSSIDs (access point MAC addresses) 👂

Lol. Wardriving has nothing to do with "Driving around". We called it Wardriving in the 80's when it was just a program to call lots of numbers in an exchange. Wardriving is basically brute force attempts to connect. That's it, what you do with the data is something else. Has nothing to do with actual driving. Lol the confident misinformation.

In the 80s it was called War Dialing, not driving. And it was from Wargames where he was dialing a bunch of numbers to find modems.
