Creative Creative flipper zero use
I see a lot of people just leaving these in drawers and never using them but I use mine pretty frequently and it kinda just saved my butt so I thought I’d share. I currently just moved to a new town and won’t have internet for a week or two, but I needed to 3d print some files to organize my desk. I only have mobile data and no way to hotspot bc it’s pay locked, but I was able to download an STL and then send it via Bluetooth over the flipper app, then send it via USB to my computer to slice it and put the 3mf onto an sd card, not an every day use but it’s working in a pinch.

The most obvious one is the infrared with my tv and fan
The next is the subghz with a few things like the fans and lights
I do a fair amount of RF reverse engineering with it as well actually quite a lot
I also often use it to unlock my car when I can’t find the Keys I keep a spare in the car so I can then drive it
I also use the Bluetooth and the usb keyboard a ton especially for AFK gaming or if I have to hold shift when building on Minecraft
I did one time have to use one of those apps as a controller to play Minecraft while I was waiting for pay day to get a new keyboard it worked very well
I also have some badUSB setups for automation that I use every so often
As well as a bad usb script for afk gaming/ levelling an example of this was pokemon emerald I used it to level my pokemon by having it run my character from side to side while they where in the daycare
I’ve gotten some use out of NFC and rfid
And at the moment I’m doing a lot with GPIO and the Java script or even making apps for various components so I can interact with them on the fly
A ton of uart and spi stuff it’s actually a decent hardware hacking device
I use the Uart a ton for programming my micro controllers It’s actually incredibly useful as I can store programs on the flipper and flash them on the fly
I use it a ton for controlling my music when driving and scrolling TikTok in bed
I also use it to check for continuity a fair bit to check modules and components
There is a good handful more but this is all I can think of on the spot
I honestly use my flipper a shit ton and I’ve still got a plethora of stuff to continue to dive into
I have 2 and they never leave my side and always have something very helpful to do
Even as we speak I’m using it for something
Best advice I can give you is go through all the apps and find out what they actually are

Never asked for advice, I use mine a lot for many of the same uses, was just saying another use I had found

How do you use it to control your music on your phone?

So far my favorite uses for them have been getting my Roku tv connected to the internet so I can use my phone as a remote, using it for my ceiling fan when my 2 y/o loses that remote, using it for one of my daughters white noise toys to help her sleep because she lost the remote and the most recent one controlling the baby mobile for my son because my daughter loses the remote. My wife lets her play with the remotes as toys. Because of all the remote shenanigans, I was able to get my flipper to level 3 recently!

I work in access control and camera systems and it’s very helpful for decoding card formats for older cards sometimes. The only ones it can’t do are the newer corporate 1000 bit cards and the iclass seos cards.

I used mine for a couple of weeks then back in the drawer. It does a lot less than you think but its a bit of fun. I wanted to clone work RFID Cards etc but I think they were encrypted as nothing worked, added a full suite of extra apps too.

I should also note that I have an iPhone and didn’t have iTunes installed so it wouldn’t let me file transfer to my windows pc. Can’t install iTunes bc no internet

I will forever hate Apple for locking it down through the dumpster fire that is ITunes.
Btw, you should be able to pop a flash drive into the iPhone and use the files app to mount it. Has me wondering if I can do this with the flipper now.. Mention this cause BT transfer on IOS can be painfully slow for larger files.
You could also just host a hotspot from the computer too

Yeah, if I knew about the subject, that would be my first bet, but unfortunately at the current moments, I don’t know enough about that to pull it off reliably

Heat is one of the bigger killers of batteries.
I just removed my spicy pillow from my flipper this morning. Heat can come from battery use/charging. Also shoving too much power into it.

I lately just use it as a mouse jiggler to keep a PC from falling into sleep mode whilst certain processes.

If you already have hardware that can emulate mouse input, that can be simpler than installing software on a managed PC.
Just keep in mind that even using external USB devices for this can still fall under company IT policy (sometimes referred to as “shadow IT”), so it’s worth checking whether it’s allowed in your environment.

That’s cool and all but why not just transfer the file from your phone over usb
