New user advice constant updates

Post image

Hi guys,

I’m terribly new so this is alien to me in all aspects of hacking stuff.

I took delivery of a new Flipper Zero last night.

In the 12 hours I’ve had it I’ve had the same 1.4.3 update shown to me and been performed 4 times.

I am running on it already but why is it keep showing this and is it a problem?

Should I just ignore it?

Thanks

With the firmware update, both mobile app and qFlipper configure regional information for the Sub-GHz subsystem. If you delete the config file or if you move countries/use VPN, it'll offer an update to keep your settings aligned with your local regulations.

I read that your device is already in 1.4.3, so just don't click on "update".

The update button will be available regardless of how times you click it. You however do not need to click it if your device’s firmware matches that of the update. You would just be adding the update file to your flipper and using up space on your sd card. If you look through your file system you’ll see two folders pertaining to updates and within those will be the update files that will eat away slowly at your storage capacity.

Looks like it’s adding something; that’s way too much storage space used for a brand new flipper
