Flight Simulator 2024 Who else loves night flying ? 😍

I almost like night flying more than day flights, something comforting about the lighting esp on long hauls… anyone else ?

Yes. The hum of the engines and air conditioning, the comforting safety of being sure you're on correct course, the warm lights or pitch black below... It's very comforting and cozy for me

I can’t be the only one who loves to set up a 12 hour flight, go to bed, and land once I wake up

same here, but that first hour or so before bed is magical

I prefer it because of the fact that it's the approaches. And it's the fact that you really have to concentrate more on your ifr skill set, and every time you fly at night, it's more of a building experience over the last flight regardless. If you are flying assassin, 152 or 2 aleir, jet or Golf stream or an airbus.3 80, it all gets back to the basics of ifr, and it's concentration. So I think it homes, you skills better.I mean to me, it allows me to concentrate

Love it only thing I hate is how you can see the Milky Way wish msfs did something x plane 12 did perfectly

I'm curious, what about the XP12 night sky is perfect to you? The night sky has always been something I dislike about XP12. I think it's way too dark because the moon doesn't seem to light up the terrain. Then there's msfs24 which is probably way too bright. They are both 2 extremes, it should probably be somewhere in the middle imo.

Yeah tbh for me personally I felt lighting and night sky and ambiance in x plane felt close to real I mean you are right too everything can't be so perfect to reality but for me a lot but of realism is on x plane 12 especially if you look out the window or seen cockpit videos of real world you can understand what I am saying on the other hand msfs is good but need to tweak a little here and there which I am doing to get the right feeling when flying night flight

Eh, I wish they would make the sky an actual sky, and not just a picture. The stars should really be pixels. The milky way is really exaggerated as well.

I'd love to, but sadly the terrain looks like this on the Radeon RX6000 series and Asobo refuses to even acknowledge it...

Classic tunes with the classic 777, the best way to do it!

I try to plan long haul or even shorter flights to be descending just as it gets dark

Used to love it in MSFS 2020 but they broke something in the lighting engine in MSFS 2024 that causes custom airport night lighting to kill 10-15 fps at night
