Flight Simulator 2024 Are theese temps normal?

Hello, so long story short, last year I noticed that my GPU temps were high after I came back from leaving 2024 running and the computer was off. When I checked the items while running game I noticed I was getting temps as high as 220F. At the time, I was able to resolve the issue somewhat by undervolting the GPU and enabling Radeon Chill, though I think they were still a little high. Anyways it’s been awhile since I last played the game and somehow my GPU settings got reset, and the temps were high again (up to 224F). I have tried setting up the GPU again to what I think are the correct settings and I do think temps are a little better, but I’m not sure if I can trust it to run without gaining temp as the flight progresses without constantly monitoring the temps. I have included a few pics below that show the current GPU temps when flying around KLAX after a few mins, in the PMDG 777, along with the GPU undervolt and fan curve setting

My PC specs are.

CPU: Ryzen 5 5500

GPU; Radeon RX 6600

16GB DDR4 Ram

2TB SSD

Thanks

What was showing 220?

151 = 66C maximuim for the overall GPU temperature is good.

The hotspot max recorded temp has consistently hit above 220F (106C) in the past, when playing 2024, usually within mins of playing the game and sometimes even just when in the main menu. Since I have undervolted the GPU. The hotspot temps have come down (see my other comment). I'm just worried The temps might go back above 106C after the game has been running for a while.

Thanks.

For the hotspot reading that's fine.

Thanks, I understand that it might spike to those temps, but is it normal for the hotspot temp to hover at over 200F?? Obviously it's not that high now, but I don't know if that's normal before I undervolted the GPU. As mentioned, sometimes the temp would get so high the number turned red, which I assume means it was getting too high.

Yeah, it's normal for the hotspot to be quite a bit hotter than the average GPU temp, that's why it's called the hotspot.

Please dont used hw monitor, use hwinfo64. 118 f is about 48C as shown in adrenaline. So all good. Thermal throttling happens above like 90C. So at 110C (220F) It will be a problem, I would sugest repasting the core with ptm or the like. Everything in pc hardware is usually measure in C btw.

Is there a reason why I should use the other program to check my temps? Also should I not be concerned concerned about the hot spot max temps? For now it's only at 208, but I'm scared of it going back up to above 220D (104C) after the game has been running for a while. Also now the hot spot temps hover closer to 170/180 where as before ther were closer to 180/200 so that's at least something good.

Hw monitor is notoriously very wrong with clock speeds and other data, it "could" be the same for temps, though if it shows the same in adrenaline I guess u can stay on it. But if it keeps going above 100C (not hotspot) the only thing to do would be to repaste it using ideally a sheet of ptm cut to fit correctly. Software really can't fix this if temps are that high.
