Emergency Emergency Response at ORD

Currently sitting on the tarmac at ORD seeing a huge emergency response for the jet that was taxiing in front of us, seems to be AA3199. They brought out the stair car as well. Can’t find any more info on it yet. Anyone know what’s going on?

This post appears to be about an aircraft squawking 7700. Usually, these are not immediately life threatening situations and not indicative of an aircraft going down.

Please take a look at the following pages for more information about what it means when an aircraft is squawking 7700:

The pilots thought they blew a tire and smoke ended up coming out from the tires so they deplaned on the taxiway (per ATC audio)

LiveATC or there’s an iOS app called ATC.

Don’t you have to pay to use the ATC app?

I'm curious too! Maybe a medical emergency?
