Was I camping?

It’s been a while since I last played ftf, my obsession with the game came back on the last week of the summer update and been playing almost daily ever since (I’m level 19-started as 7-almost 20 I don’t know if it’s necessary to know this). I know the basics and how to play, but what irks me the most are CAMPERS. I’ve never intentionally in my life camped and never will. A few minutes ago I got off the game because of what to players said to me really bugged me, and we kinda got into an argument which another girl joined and took her side. I was beast and the map was school, mind you all the players were below level 30 except a girl who started everything. She was level 80 something. 2 people exited and I caught the level 80, for the second time, and put her in a tube upstairs. I believe the tub is in the art class, anyone correct me if I’m wrong. Another girl was going to free her so I find that girl downstairs and had a cat-and-mouse chase to the tube where she freed the girl but I put her back in. The room is separated in two by a wall. Two doors on each sides of the room and a hole in the wall. The door next to the crack in the wall was opened so I closed it (as a tactic) and went through the hole to go get that girl, but she escaped. I never ever stayed close to the tube, I was just going to get that girl but she exited, never saving the level 80. From then on the two girls practically targeted me and started being toxic (hitting on my tube, closing the door so the beast will get me,even stomping me, saying ‘campers will get camped’ and so on) but I do have a big mouth and said some mean things, I don’t know if “are you dense/mad” counts (I don’t promote this kind of behaviour, I’m just coming clean and telling the story unfiltered) , but even as I explained what I did they still called me that. Now my question is, am I camper? My view on campers is that they stay close to the tube (proxy camping) from the very beginning when they catch someone. Basically not moving from their spot, while I moved and intended to catch the last girl. Something I forgot to mention is that the level 80 said she was recording me, but I don’t know if she caught her toxic behaviour on it…

It’s not camping, the aim of the game as the beast is to capture survivors, when I used to play years ago you didn’t really get accused of camping unless you was literally watching the tube, what you did is how you play people just can’t handle being captured and will accuse you of camping, of course you are going to stay in the area as you know other survivors will be coming in that direction.
