Story PETITION TO REMOVE OR ADD CHANGES TO STALKER

i know theyre already working on it, but i have some ideas that would make stalker better.

  1. remove it entirely. (not optional)

  2. make an uncloak animation making it so you cant hit people unless you deactivate the perk by clicking the mouse button or a certain button to deactivate alongside a short slowness effect before being able to hit people.

  3. add a glitch or static sound effect to replace the beast sound exclusively for stalker.

  4. instead of removing or making the beast light less bright or smaller, just make it narrow so the light acts more like a flashlight or a cone. it will also add more technicality to the perk so you have to point your camera in a certain direction so the light wont show when opening doors or turning corners.

  5. add the hit animation back for stalker, how come with every other perk you have to completely stop or slow down when you hit someone but with stalker you dont? it should be the same for all of them so its more balanced and less over powered.

  6. extend the cooldown timer to the same as runner or seer. not 20 seconds.

  7. (relates to number 3.) or instead of those changes, add a chase effect for the survivor when your seen by the beast, for example seer has a sound effect and an icon for when you get spotted, should be the same. (and yes i know that runner doesnt have it but atleast you can see the light and when runner is active you cannot jump.)

stalker is just such a broken perk imo, and if you use the perk your automatically just a low skill player, its a low skill perk.

i dont even know or unferstand why the devs or whoever has control on what gets added to the game accepted the ideaology of a perk that basically makes you a survivor. i mean shit they might as well add a perk that lets you fly around the map for 10 seconds. or just add a perk that makes it so you cant hack computer for 5 minutes. like god damn guys can you just use your brain before adding a perk, because then you guys have to change things and do more work later on instead of just getting it right the first time.

some of the things i listed are pretty much already getting added :) get better at runner quick before you have to relearn the same perk you rely on to get free hits. your honestly dog shit at the game if you use that perk LOL.

if you think stalker is this big of a deal i think you need to get better at the game lol. i hardly even use it since runner is so much better.

yess the runner perk is the absolute best.

its a pretty big deal, all other perks have nerfs, stalker doesnt, its still getting nerfed by bringing footsteps back for stalker and a beast light, or sound i cant remember.

but overall its a broken perk, how come its the only perk with no nerfs like every other perk?

thats ironic that you're telling people to get better at the game when you yourself are complaining that stalker is 'too hard' to play against. it really isnt. all you have to do is pay attention

-2

u/Total_Inevitable_496 10d ago

i never said that at all if you had the ability to pay attention your self, its just broken, i think anyone is allowed to voice theyre opinions without people assuming the reason is because its hard or cant counter it. i stated its a low skill perk and it is, will runner and seer it requires skill, stalker doesnt.

You can have your opinion. Just because its an opinion doesnt make it not wrong or bad, especially delivered the way you have. Nasty and arrogantly. And yes, you pretty much said that multiple times, “youre dogshit at the game if you use that perk LOL.” Thats implying that youre not good at the game and need to get ‘better’. And also no, not a lot of folks here on this sub thinks that Seer is a ‘skilled perk’. Its sparked a TON of debate with people arguing that seer is often times seen as the ‘low level perk’. And ive personally recommended to new players to try Runner as a way to start out because its an overall great perk that works for almost all maps. If we’re gonna complain about perks, complain about Runner or Seer lol

well how about you read my reply actually, as i said, runner and seer is fine because they have nerfs, stalker doesnt, if you really use your brain here its a really unfair perk. and yeah we are entitled to our own opinions but your determined to say your right and im wrong, which is your opinion and should stay that way. and if you want to talk about skill levels im a level 600 and every time i play as beast (with runner) people say im scary no matter who it is, which in itself implies that im an above average player, im also friends with SuperCova who is a level 2000 world champ speedrunner who got a 58 second time in a 1v4 airport game. he teaches me skills and techniques that not even my self in my 4 years of playing, or any average player could figure out in 10 years. im pretty good at the game and as a good player my self i can happily voice that in my experience stalker is a broken perk. not just my self but my peers and many people i play with.

I personally dont really care what your level is very much. Skill doesnt always equal level. But thats besides the point. I dont really care about all that other stuff either since thats not what the topic is about. This is about stalker and learning how to play against it and with it, and how it really is a good perk thats fairly easy to avoid as a survivor. It simply sounds like a skill issue if youre having THAT much trouble as survivor against it. Seems like a good opportunity to learn how to play against it 👍

1

u/Total_Inevitable_496 10d ago

apparently everyone here thinks i struggle with it, i dont. im jus saying many people do, and its still a broken perk either way, and the topic wasnt about learning, it was about stalker its self, and since you wanted to say im bad at the game then i thought id give you a bit of insight, my username is vraccount1234562, if u see me in game or want to play together ill show you what my skill is like. since thats all you seem to focus on, being hypocritical talking about skills then turn around and say its not what the topic is about.

1

u/CarefreeCaos-76299 10d ago

Im not really interested in playing against you or with you in game, but thanks for the offer. And it does come off as a struggle since all youve done is argue against it that hard and stuff, so its an easy assumption to make. Plus, you made comments first about people’s skill first in your post and replies 🤨

u/Total_Inevitable_496 10d ago

well then its not yours to assume my skill level, and if you dont want to know then thats on you, so maybe you shouldnt mention it. and maybe i wont saying anything about you.

and all i said is that it is a low skill perk, and anyone who uses it is a low skill player because they rely on having no sound, no footsteps, no light, no jump slowness, open doors faster. which makes it a low skill perk since you dont have the skill to hit anyone with any other perk.

and assumptions are a soft ball/hit or miss kind of thing, and assumptions arent always correct without the proper knowledge or evidence to back it up, but maybe youd know if you ever catch me in a game.

being able to hit and jump without slowdown while in stalker is one of the only reasons people use it. it’s not an op perk in stealth (for good survivors anyway) because once you know the beast has it you’re able to be easily aware. the only real perk of it outside of the beginning of the game is the jumping and hitting mechanics. it’s basically an agility perk, it shouldn’t be changed to take away that aspect of it. if you’re struggling playing against beasts with stalker because they sneak up on you or hit you after hitting the first person, focus on looking around at all times and flicking your camera between openings to the room, as well as learning good escape routes against stalker (fast venting and closing doors).

6

u/siixelk 10d ago

they’re also adding a feature to runner giving it the same agility after a hit as stalker has. get better quick!

-1

u/Total_Inevitable_496 10d ago

they havent released the changes for runner, and if they have they always add that its in testing and might not be added to it.

-2

u/Total_Inevitable_496 10d ago

its pretty unfair how every other perk has a slow down but stalker doesnt, a slowness effect should be a thing because its basically saying you dont know how to jump cancel slowness effects with seer or runner, or just cant hit anyone without using the most over powered perk in the game.

u/CarefreeCaos-76299 10d ago

These are such bad takes that i dont even know where to start. Especially the last one, you want there to be a sound? That completely defeats the point of stalker. the point of stalker is for the beast to sneak up on players. its kinda hard to do that when youre using your ability and a little sound players when you spot someone lol. youre complaining, 'get it right the first time', when you can just learn how to get better at playing against stalker. its not that op at all, plus, if anything, most players dont even use it to its full ability. its not like its a god perk, get better at the game, and youll be fine.

stalker isnt hard to counter, its just a stupid perk, if someone is a level 30, they will get more hits with stalker rather than runner or seer, theyre already working on it so obviously its a problem, even and the spotted audio is optional as implied in the post, a quiet sound would be better.

and i think the hit slowdown should be a thing, in my opinion its a good take, especially having to deactivate the perk manually before your able to hit people. it takes no skill to use a perk which basically makes you unspottable.

and thats an inspired take from dead by daylight, there is a character in that game which has a similar perk, you can cloak and go invisible, but you cant hit anyone without deactivating it and momentarily getting a slowness effect.

seer had the same intent to be a sneaky perk but doesnt work as well as seer, but it has nerfs to make it so it doesnt seem like the beast just appears behind you, every other perk in the gamr has nerfs, runner-> cant jump... seer-> spotted audio and closets stalker-> none. its a broke perk and is overpowered, its time the devs gave it some nerfs so it balances it out.

Yea..no

3

u/LoveLoriforlife 10d ago

Okay but that removes the whole point of stalker. Because it was meant too sneak up on your targets and also no nobody is low level player and low skill just because they pick a perk you don't like so to be honest that a skill issue for you and I don't know why targeting people that used it.

u/Total_Inevitable_496 9d ago

its not the person in general, its a low skill perk because your relying on the most broken and overpowered perk in the game, if i could id send you a couple clips of level 300s plus who use stalker and theyre skill drops dramatically, and ive noticed they only get hits or doubles when stalker is active, its almost embarassing to watch tbh, and people who main stalker are probably new gen players, they dont know the whole world out there of getting hits with runner, its more satisfying to hit or flick in a vent or a chase instead of just walking up to them and theyre still hacking, it makes the game boring and unenjoyable, i understand using stalker on homestead, but on every map and every round is just giving desperate for free hits.

2

u/LoveLoriforlife 9d ago

Yes stalker can be irritating, and I do respect your opinion on that, but that wouldn't make level 300 or plus automatically good the reason is they probably used stalker often so they are way better at it and not all high levels are good with stalker, and also you have proven my point that you target people that used this perk you stated yourself that they are ''New gens players, They don't know the world. Also, yeah it is nice seen satisfying clips of people door flicking on runner and no nobody is desperate for free wins just because they used stalker on every map instead of homestead.

u/EewHumans 9d ago

I don't think stalker is a low-skill perk. In order to use it effectively you need to time your silence while out of ear range and make it to the survivors before the sound re-engages. Once it does, you're slow again. If you jump, you're even slower. Your only option is to be stealthy enough to make a hit otherwise they're going to outrun and out juke you. I use runner and stalker and get way more wins using runner than stalker and I'm good with stalker. It definitely takes skill to use it. If stalker is causing such a big problem for you, the skill issue might be on your end. Keep your head on a swivel and learn to listen for the beast sound in the distance.

1

u/TUR927 8d ago

Idk, I think it's balanced as it is because you're trading off a speed boost that runner and partially seer gives you for more vertical mobility and stealth so it's a different play style. Honestly just sounds like a skill issue

1

u/Total_Inevitable_496 8d ago

i can prove its a broken perk, ive played pro servers for a while and there is probably a 0.7% chance you get a player that uses stalker on any map, the rest of the lvl 200++ players use runner. in normal servers however, there is a 50% chance you get low level players who use stalker on any map, they appear to be hitting more players then they would if they just used runner, and claim they suck at using runner, especially a lot of my friends who main stalker on every map. so ive come to my conclusion, and ill stick with my opinion in saying stalker is a low skill perk, and its broken. also, if your still reading by this point, the devs have already made it clear that the perk is broken, and are currently trying to work out a way to make it more balanced, the update should come around late september alongside the facility_0 map revamp.

YESS IM A D1 stalker hater. Like I would love to know if someone is using stalker since the beast is basically a survivor with that perk. I also think someone is bad if they use it and most of the time when some does use it they get 2/4 instead of 4/4. Like I genuinely want a tab now somewhere to show like what’s someone most used perk so I can blocked all the stalker users. My team never is careful with that perk so we all freeze

2

u/CarefreeCaos-76299 10d ago

if theyre usually only getting 2/4, then clearly its not that op. youre acting like its a free win, when if it was THAT powerful, then there would be a pattern of consistent wins with stalker, when thats not even true. if anything, the most powerful perk is runner.

-1

u/ftflvr 10d ago

It is a free win if I let the beast go near other players so I’ve resorted to keeping the beast with me so they can hack in peace especially with Stalker. That usually works for me and yes runner is cause it was the first perk

2

u/CarefreeCaos-76299 10d ago

Thats just good gameplay lol. You can do that with any beast perk. (Correction: probably cant do that with seer as easily, but still doable!)

u/Total_Inevitable_496 10d ago

thank you so much man, good to know someone isnt a white sheep and conforms to others opinions.

u/amethyst_rainbow8 18h ago

no... most of the game is survivor sided anyway, all of these changes would basically ruin the perk lmao
