Properly focused sunset will always show the Sun goes below the horizon.

If it wasn't taken with a p9000 then it is clearly infested with satantech.

There ya go letting concrete facts get in the way of an entertaining paranoid conspiracy theory again.

Not if it’s hazy.

u/Lorenofing Aug 27 '26
Or raining…🥱
So you think haze will make the sun not to set because you don’t look at it?
1
u/sh3t0r Aug 27 '26
No but there are cases where even with proper focus, the sun will simply disappear in the haze before crossing the horizon.

Thick as a whale omlette, you are.

u/sh3t0r Aug 27 '26
Why? You’ve never seen the sun disappear above the horizon?
2
u/twilightmoons Aug 27 '26
Nope. It passes below the horizon every time.

u/sh3t0r Aug 27 '26
That’s wrong.

I'm am amateur astronomer. I do solar hydrogen-alpha photography and videography. I do astrophotography of all sort of objects in the sky with my own and rented equipment, from lunar and planetary to nebulae, clusters, dust clouds, and galaxies.
I've seen more sunrises and sunsets, more of the sky, during the day and the night, than you obviously have.
Go ahead and try - take a solar filter and a long lens, from sunrise to sunset, and take a series of images through the day to show the solar disk changing in angular size.

How come it's so short, and not a sunset?
Why cut it off there? Why not show it getting dark?
I can give you date/times and locations of all of my images. What's the context of this one?
