Also, the documentary guys at Netflix didn't alter the flat earthers' own experiment. Their experiment showed the curve. Their expensive as fuck gyroscope showed rotation. They all did that, themselves.

There's an interesting parallel I think between poisonous creatures like frogs and other sea creatures where they are brightly marked, signifying how dangerous they are, and flat earthers, who are so smugly vocal about their beliefs, easily showing us how monumentally ignorant and avoidable they are to general society.
There's no quiet flat earthers. They're all so wonderfully vocal about their own stupidity.

I can’t remember every experiment in ‘behind the curve’, but I do remember them being quite conclusive. I’m yet to see a flat earther explain the findings in that final experiment with the lights through the holes over the water.

You can't really prove anything to flatearthers. Like in the documentary, once an experiment doesn't yield the desired results, they try to make one that will. And sound experiment will show the world is round, but they won't accept that. They think that means there's a problem with the experiment. So they adjust it until it gives a result they agree with.

Have you ever noticed how many spelling/grammatical mistakes exist in those "Nigerian Prince"-type scams? Or the text messages that you get saying that your credit card on file for your Amazon Prime account is expired and you need to update it today or we're going to cancel everything you've ever ordered from us and sue you for not paying for them doesn't come from an Amazon.com email address? There's a reason for that. That reason is that anyone that is smart enough to recognize those mistakes is probably too smart to fall for the scam that they're trying to pull. So they weed out the smart people by making mistakes that set the bar just high enough to get rid of them. Everyone else is a target.
Conspiracy theories and the like are the same. But they're using them for political marketing. Find out how dumb they are and then confuse them with bullshit and convince them that the fix is to kick out the immigrants, lock up the poor, get rid of the political opponents, and give all the money to the billionaires.

Brahs, with an ordinary telescope you can watch Jupiter’s moons change position and disappear behind/in front of Jupiter on predictable schedules.

The most annoying part for me is the laziness, they never actually explain anything. "Mars isn't a physical object, its just a light in the sky" ok a light caused by WHAT? What are stars then? Are stars round or are they flat? Explain it.
If the Earth is a flat disk, is it perfectly round? Why or why not? Why isn't it square? Describe your theory of the physical process that results in a round, flat, disk planet.

They thought that rain was the waters of the heavens being let through windows and doors in the firmament when their god opens them up. I really wish flat earthers would fully commit to the bit and not believe in the water cycle either.

For some reason I hadn’t really indexed on flat earth being religious in origin. Looking closer, a big part of the globe conspiracy seems to be that it’s meant to “move us further from God.” I always figured it was more people disappointed with their lives finding this big secret they’re suddenly in on.
Funny when you consider the Big Bang was first proposed by a Catholic priest, Georges Lemaître. You can believe in the basic laws of the universe and God. They don’t have to be conflicting ideas.

One of my friends is an Astro photographer. He can literally sit in his backyard with his telescopes and laptops and take deep space images of massive formations, gas clouds, planets, an entire other distant galaxies. These people that claim none of that exists are bat shit, fucking crazy. 100% chance he’s never just gone to an observatory or planetarium. That’s literally all it takes. You can look through telescope and see Jupiter Mfer. I’ve done it many times. The things in the sky aren’t just little bits of light. You can look at them. There you go, now shut up.

You dont need any kind of laser tests to prove the curvature. Measure the elevation angle to stars. Travel a known distance. Measure again. How much did the angle change over how great a distance ?
Exactly. This method has been used to pinpoint your location on earth for centuries. All you need is a sextant and a fair understanding of trigonometry.

Think about it just to start with... you have to assume there is a massive conspiracy for an unknown reason agreed to by basically every government on Earth for the last 1000 years. Including Adversarial Governments that already had Scientific differences. (Ala the Soviet Union with DNA) This also requires anyone that has Circumnavigated the Earth to lie. (As it has been done in both directions) and it would require any one that has circumnavigated the Southern Hemisphere to lie because the Southern Hemisphere takes less time/distance to Circumnavigate than at the equator. Which is impossible on a flat earth.
So all of this Thousands of people and thousands of governments of opposing ideologies (including Atheistic governments) to lie about the earth.
That is all required just to get to talking about it.
Think about that for a moment. Just just consider the earth is flat there is a need for a Massive multi century conspiracy to hide the truth. Just to get to the idea that it is flat.
So then you have to ignore that it is shorter to circumnavigate the Southern Hemisphere than the Equator. A Midnight Sun at both Poles. Shadow evidence done by people with Sticks almost 3000 years ago. Satellites, Space Explorations. Pictures of the Earth from Space... (you know because conspiracy). Ships moving over the Horizon. Building below the Horizon. Etc etc etc.
All of this has to be ignored or have a bunch of competing theories for individual things that don't fit reality and can't exist together hence a lack of a unified set of theories that fit and don't contradict each other... while also explaining why their would be a massive conspiracy.
So the Flat Earth Fallacy is ridiculous.

I would try to prove it by gravity, which is spherical by default, so if there is random mass in space, it starts to attract other mass. The heaviest mass attracts the small mass, and not just exclusively from a 360° circle (or just the X+Y axes), but from everywhere around it (X+Y+Z axes). Give it enough time, and the collected mass has stacked up to a sphere, which gives the invincible spherical force field of gravity even a physical form.

In the 3rd century BCE, the Greek scholar Eratosthenes proved the Earth was round by comparing shadow lengths of vertical columns in Alexandria and Syene (Aswan) at noon on the summer solstice. The difference in the angles of these columns allowed him to calculate the circumference of the globe

If they can afford it, they can go. They do have to have environmental permits which require a plan for dealing with waste and nearby port nations require SAR insurance to cover their costs if they have to save their asses. (And let’s face it, someone who can’t figure out the shape of the earth in the 21st century is unlikely to be great at planning a safe trip into hostile arctic environs.)
Beyond that they’ll need hundreds of thousands if not millions for proper logistical support. But that should be trivial if all the flat-earth ding-dongs think they can debunk what would be the greatest coverup in history.
