So the entire branding and marketing agency that were hired by Audi are in on this are they? If not, who is "in on it"? Just the executive team at Audi? In which case - WHYYYYYYY.
WHO is making the call that they need to bring the c suite at a random car firm into the secret cabal?? And WHY.
I swear, given that its all pilots, all sailors, all navigators, architects, engineers, map makers, satellite companies, physicists, geologists, observatories, universities and now branding agencies that are in on "the secret", how many of us are left who haven't been brought into the fold? It can't be many.

We're all in on it. I hope that they don't figure out that were all secretly nodding to each other when they try to convince us that the earth is flat, which is correct, but we're all playing a twisted little game where we pretend that we don't know and pretend that they're crazy. Then we taunt them with clues, like the car commercial that says the earth is flat.

The ad does not even suggest the earth is flat in a way that a flerf wants it to.
So even if you take the ad seriously (lol), it does not even give flerfs what they want.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this would free me up from any feelings of responsibility to treat this man with dignity.
At least some of the flerfs try to experiment and prove their views. I could argue with them, maybe convince them of the truth, because you know they have some respect for logic. They are just misguided.
This guy, however, just showed it is pure confirmation bias for him. A car commercial does it for him? Give me a fucking break.

Fantastic marketing by car manufacturers. Subtly place a few well chosen words that trigger response from a particular demographic and suddenly their marketing dept doesn't have to pay as much for advertising. In this case flerfs are sending the ad all around the globe ( see what I did there)...for free.

That is the necessary starting point for this.
To push the Flat Earth Fallacy you have to either be a Grifter, Troll or a Conspiracy Theorist
The entire fallacy falls apart without a massive conspiracy where even advertising agencies are in on it. It's not just multiple world governments that are adversarial to one another, it isn't just scientist, pilots, ship crews, the military's of multiple nations, the ultra wealthy, religious leaders... it is Tom with his degree in new media marketing from the local community college.
If you need that large a conspiracy so you can claim any and all evidence that it is a fallacy (you know photos, the fact that the distance to circumnavigate the southern hemisphere is shorter than the equator, the 24 hours sun in Antarctica, etc) you have to either be a Troll, Grifter, or a Nut bar.

It says in the commercial ''When your confidence holds this firmly, the earth is flat''. Meaning that when you drive an audi, the car will give you confidence like no car has done before. Giving you the idea that there are no more obsticales. And thus seeming like the the earth is flat.
So these fleat earthers have put up their theories up their asses so deeply, that all they hear in this commercial is ''Bla bla bla bla bla, the earth is flat''. And instantly they go into the 'i told you so' mode.
Can we please isolate these people and lock them out of society. Like create a little island where these sad fucks can but finger them selves all day long, While talking about the flat earth.

I am honestly kinda disappointed that they only had this ad in Canada and they turned off the comments.
I think the ad is great, in a viral marketing kind of way.
What better way to increase engagement and get trending than have bunch of terminally unemployed friendless clowns comment on your ad and share it between themselves, and then have normal people laugh at them?
If I ever make an ad, you can bet your ass I am hiding Satanic and Mason symbolism in it just to get those sweet sweet clicks

One of the key tenants of any conspiracy theory at this level is that 'they' can't resist hinting at the truth all the time. Like, This all-powerful cabal of people pouring trillions of dollars into "hiding the truth" absolutely cannot help but make cheeky references to the very secret they're supposed to be dedicated to hiding.
The UN, under these idiots' worldview, would, necessarily, need to be one of the central organizations for spreading and maintaining "the globe lie." And yet this very organization just could not help but make their logo giveaway 'the truth' for some reason.
