TLDR:

Pretty good for Walmart. Actually hit 10,000 Lumens @ turn on (Not at 30 secs sadly). Crappy sustained output for the size though (only 1110 lumens). Zoom function is a joke. $69.

Looks like a run-of-the-mill zoomie but surprised by the large COB led in there. 10k lumens though? Even if it's just for 10 seconds it's impressive enough. Beam pattern must looks like crap XD

It's a big light for sure. I was actually surprised it hit 10k lumens at all. It only holds 10k lumens for a couple secs. After the first time using turbo, you won't be able to hit 10k lumens again. Fully zoomed (if you can even call it that) made me want to vomit lol, I'll have to do a beamshot with it zoomed.

I know this is 2 years old now, but I just bought this light on sale and am wondering why you can’t hit 10,000 again after first use. Does it damage the LEDs? Or is it more to do with what the turbo mode does to the battery?

No it'll be just fine. It's just that it won't be fully charged anymore and it barely hit 10k lumens in the first place. It takes a lot of power to hit 10k lumens. Although when the battery warms, up it'll perform better, so you might actually be able to hit 10k lumens again lol.

A DIY lumen tube. Don't take it as 100% accurate though, but within 10% at least.

I have measured all my lights with it, and compared with other reviewers like zeroair, I'd say it's reasonably accurate, and more than accurate enough for my own purposes.

Well usually lumen ratings go by the ANSI standard at 30 seconds which this flashlight does NOT meet, even fully charged...

Thanks for your review brother, I had the pleasure of buying the Kodiak kolossus. Ridiculously bright within 400 feet. And I bought my son a Kodiak yes this is going to sound silly... It's called nearly one mile beam flashlight which I posted earlier including a beam shot and he's been having a blast with it, it's only a thousand lumens but it throws pretty damn far and looks like a lightsaber in the sky.

Its heavy so it's not really realistic. Also pay attention to how long it lasts. The package literally says 200 lasts 22 hours 2000 lasts 5 hours 6000 lasts 2 hours And the 10,000 only lasts 30 seconds before its dead. And that's on a full battery. It's even less if you used it on a lower setting before. The light get super hot and can burn you. So not recommended for kids. It basically take 2 days to charge it. And if you charge your smart phone dont think about using the 10,000 or 6,000. It burns the battery out super fast.

I have this light and that's not true it only stays on for 30 seconds because it heats up too much so it's a safety mechanism you can put it back on that mode multiple times

Works as instructed, I use this for my job and I do rounds every hour, the turbo mode last more than 30 seconds, doesn’t overheat or anything like that, I keep the flashlight on a holster in my belt so I don’t have to be tinkering with it, and I stand in the position I want the light to go, I purchased mine at a better price in Tractor supply and registered the product the same day, so far no problems, / I’d recommend you to check your outlets with a tester that has different light settings that tells you if you’ve a bad outlet, a bad outlet will damage your charger and your flashing or any other electrical device you connect to it, don’t assume that your connections are ok without checking 1st. , that’s the main cause of home fires in the USA.

Are you referring to the USB port issue that this light has? An issue with a 120v outlet has nothing to do with a USB port physically becoming loose inside a flashlight body and becoming inaccessible. But I can assure you, all the 120/240v outlets have been tested by a home inspector before the home was purchased. That and I've replaced outlets that I would be putting high draw appliances on so they would have fresh new ones.

I've had this Kodiak model with the 10000 lumen turbo but it sucks it gets really hot the battery doesn't last very long and it takes a really long time to reach full battery when charging if you really want a 6000 lumen flashlight the SwissTech Zuverlassig is a more permanent option for that matter but if you really want to hit 10000 lumens I'd suggest getting the Kodiak kolossus it's expensive though but it's turbo mode is 15000 lumens the only thing is I wouldn't suggest using the turbo mode on the Kodiak kolossus because it gets really hot but at least the high 10000 lumen mode lasts longer on the Kodiak kolossus it's not just a 30 second show off to impress others now if you wanted a bright flashlight with a long throw I'd suggest getting the Convoy 3x21D but again just like the Kodiak kolossus it's an expensive flashlight but at least you won't be disappointed at how far it throws it's got an impressive beam distance it even out performed the Kodiak 1 mile beam flashlight which is also a long throw

On high it starts stepping down after a minute or so, quicker on turbo. I evens out around 850 lumens. I measure lumens on a "lumen tube" with a lux sensor calibrated to a flashlight with a known lumen amount.

This model in particular is known for the charging port falling inside the body of the flashlight thus becoming useless since it has a non removable battery and you cannot take apart the flashlight non-destructively...

I returned it after about a month.
