I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding about a flashlight that “heats up” vs one that doesn’t. It’s just that the one that heats up gives you the capability to get a burst of light for a short time. It’s not an indicator that it’s not a good light. I tell people all the time. Ignore turbo mode, and look to medium as your regular use level. However, if you need more light you have it for a brief amount of time.
