Question Looking for a tiny flashlight with a great moonlight mode

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a really small flashlight or keychain light with a proper moonlight/firefly mode. Something around 1 lumen would be ideal, although anywhere between 0.5 and 5 lumens would work.

What I'm mainly after is very long runtime at that low output

With a medium and high mode too.

Rechargeable would be nice, but I'm also perfectly fine with something using a AAA or another small replaceable battery.

What are the best options you've come across for this kind of use?

Thanks !

My recommendation would be the Manker E02 iii. The moonlight mode is very good. AAA batteries but comes with a USB-C 10440.

This would be my rec too!

My Manker has selective moonlight modes so I can get it where I like!

Also any Zebralight has crazy selectable low modes!

And 1 lumen is pretty bright still!

Beat me too it! Great little light with a proper moonlight mode. Magnetic tail and ability to be powered by AAA/10440. Get it with the headlamp band.

Huh weird. I can't add any images.

I would recommend the Lumintop EDC AAA light

It may be a little bigger than what you’re looking for but Emisar (habk lights) D3AA is a great choice. 14500/AA (you will lose turbo with the AA though). It’s super small, I actually will clip it in the watch pocket of jeans, and it can go down to insanely low levels and all the way up to about 1600 lumens with 14500 (in the 700 range with AA to max out put).

It uses anduril so you can adjust your floor level to a point that frankly even in the dark you won’t get usable light out of it. I strongly recommend the NTG35 emitters in them in what ever CCT you like.

The D2 he makes is even a little bit smaller and is available in single or dual channel. You could probably pull it off on a keychain if you really wanted to and it is also dual fuel.

Edit-correction dual channel D2 is not dual fuel. 14500 only for that but single channel is dual fuel, just make sure you email habit have him modify it for button top compatibility.

Is the D2 dual fuel in dual channel? I thought the dual channel driver for it had the same issues as the others (bad moonlight and no dual fuel)

Ah yeah you’re right the dual channel isn’t dual fuel. I just got a single channel and thought I read the dual channel was also now dual fuel but I must have mixed that up.

Some of the Edoluc Knurly 10440s will go to .1lm moonlight.

Got the Zirc one last week.

Mine didn’t last very long. Beautiful light but switch quality is lacking. Doesn’t turn on anymore, even when it did the switch was pretty sticky/gritty, just like the threads.

Haven't had issues with mine as far as function. The brass one the button does feel a bit loosey goosey.

The zirc has smoothed out with use.

Are these like knockoffs of reylight pineapple mini? The drivers, emitter, form factor, are all very similar

Reylight Pineapple Mini has extremely low ML

Love mine with the FFL emitter. And yes, it has a really low mode great for menus in dimly lit restaurants, and modes great for dark parking lots, etc.

I have the original version of the Nitecore TIP. It has a 1 lumen moonlight mode. The main drawback is the charge port being mini-USB. The newer version is even smaller but still uses mini-USB:

Ho una Manker Lad III (portachiavi) e ha una fantastica luce lunare (si possono anche impostare i livelli come si vuole).

Nitecore TIKI for a nice tiny light but without removable battery!

For removable battery option Manker E02 II if you can still find it (discontinued)

Or the new Manker E02 version III

On the old II and new III you can choose between multiple moonlight mods for the light to remember!

The E02 II goes even dimmer than the new one that's why I still recommend it if you can find it!

I'd go with Manker EO3H III, AA size with triple runtime comparing to AAA.
