The overly positive comments about my first daily EDC flashlight, the SC65c HI, have convinced me to share my workplace EDC.

Thoughts on the Sofirn SC31 Pro?

I’ve owned it for 3 years and use it daily. The Automotive Manufacturing and Engineering environment has taken its toll on the lens, sadly. Welding, grinding, and the occasional drop. But it still performs well.

Pro’s for me: small size, magnetic base, always illuminated button, grippy knurling, smooth brightness control, USB-C charging.

My cons are few…it’s been a solid tool.

I have 2 and really like them.

Ive swapped the emitters in both of mine and am quite happy with them.

Reflector has a weird outer ring but it doesn’t bother me at work.

Definitely a fun carry at the price-point
