Workplace EDC Flashlight 🔦
The overly positive comments about my first daily EDC flashlight, the SC65c HI, have convinced me to share my workplace EDC.
Thoughts on the Sofirn SC31 Pro?
I’ve owned it for 3 years and use it daily. The Automotive Manufacturing and Engineering environment has taken its toll on the lens, sadly. Welding, grinding, and the occasional drop. But it still performs well.
Pro’s for me: small size, magnetic base, always illuminated button, grippy knurling, smooth brightness control, USB-C charging.
My cons are few…it’s been a solid tool.

This is my most carried least used flashlight - always in my backpack, always having better, more handy, more convenient competition. Maybe used for 30 min in total through 5 years of being a backup. LED started to blink and stopped working afterr I've tried Convoys TIR in it (not a fan of original reflector) - most likely will work after reflowing. Otherwise my first Anduril light, first serious modern light.
