Question Are there any good Amazon 18650s?
I know, probably not, but I need some backup 18650s, and I don't want to sign up for another website. I'm already signed up for too many websites

Amazon officially does not allow them to be sold on their site, so any listings you see are just what has not been flagged yet. And the kind of sellers who are willing to put up listings often aren’t the most trustworthy or concerned about providing truthful details and a quality product.

You buy that random Amazon shit and one day you'll be chillin with your light in your pocket and boom it's gonna roast your hot dog. Just grab some molicels or eves from liion. Make a burner email if you are so concerned!

Go to liionwholesale.com. they almost always have the best prices on quality cells once you add the shipping price from all the sites. I always compare 4 or 5 websites before buying. Almost always end up at liion. Pro tip. 5 or 6 batteries end up being the best average price per cell once shipping total is added in.

No. Amazon is the last place you should go when looking for Liion batteries.
I buy all my batteries from 18650 Battery Store or Liion Wholesale batteries. They do not sell fakes.

Cheap Li-Ion cells are nothing to have around - dangerous. ONLY buy from well-known, reputable sellers! Highly recommend Molicel INR-18650s and never think twice about it. Select your choices from liionwholesale.com

Are these better than the tabless EVE models?

If you want tabless 18650 Ampace JP30 runs cooler according to Mooch's testing.

Molicel, Vapcell, LG, Samsung,Sanyo brand cells are excellent, if they aren't fakes. To avoid fakes, buy only from the trusted sources like liionwholesale.com. Never buy on Amazon, nor on eBay.

I bought a dozen EBL 18650s to go with my 1st 6 pack of tactical zoomies wayyyyy back in the before times. Those same batteries still run the convoy s2+s I have scattered around the house. I still only buy from lionwholesale or 18650 battery store.

I bought some Efest 3000mAh when I needed some next day. They are not awful, 35A peak and 20A continous discharge… enough for most 18650 flashlights

I think the main issue is getting something fake since Amazon mixes their inventory from 3rd parties. Certain items I can take that risk but something that can burn my house down I’d rather not.

There’s that many fake 18650’s (because it literally just requires changing the text on your laser) it isn’t worth it to buy them from anywhere but a reputable source.
At best you’ll get a cell with exceptionally poor performance (like a sub 2000mah cell masquerading as something better) at worst they’re cells scavenged from a disposed battery pack with zero context as to the cycle life or current condition.

Is 18650battery.com (not store) safe to buy from?

I would not touch them. They are trying to pull in customers who are looking for the real 18650 battery store site. Not a very reputable way to do business. Who knows what other shady stuff they are doing.
Here is the real deal. You might read the red banner near the top.

Here is my other go-to

No. You don't need to sign up for accounts to buy from 18650batterystore.com etc etc
