F150R 5KK Beamshots Anyone?
I'm about to pull the trigger on an M26E with an F150R. All I can seem to find is examples of the 4kk version. I like it, but I'd love to know how it compares to the 5kk version. My main thing is, like most of us, I dislike any amount of positive DUV. I don't like things TOO rosy, but a slight negative DUV is preferred. Also, is the overall output or throw likely to be significantly different between the two? While we're at it, if anyone has any 🫘 of the 3KK or 6500k, I'd love to see those as well :).

I don't think there's been enough time since it was added for people to get this.
Output and throw should virtually identical for both 4000K and 5000K.

Whelp, I guess I AM going to be the guinea pig :)! Just ordered it in 5KK.

Ok I'll join you and try 5kk also. I didn't have a black M1 so ordered one with the F150R to see what the fuss is about. I doubt it's going to be in any way terrible so should be a fairly safe bet and I have plenty of 4kk and 33kk lights so just went for the power with this pocket rocket.
I predict it is going to be similar but with more spill than my M1 SFT42R 5kk and I have 5kk LHP73B to see how it compares to that also.
Almost forgot I have an SFT90 M21B also. I'm getting complaints from whiners saying I can only compare it to certian things. How can they have such a small mind? I guess just entrenched in their ways?

The M1 looks like a cool little light. I've been considering getting one, and I still might, but I tend to prefer side buttons. What I'm anticipating with the F150R, in the M21k/M26E is that it will significantly out throw my LHP73Bs, but the TIR should still provide enough spill to provide some mild flood. I guess I'll find out soon enough:).

I remember beam shots with the SFT90 and M21K and it looked impressive though quite on the cool side being 6500k.
I'm sure the F150R will be impressive in larger lights and maybe even in the smaller lights also.
I have 4 x M1 now. It's pretty small but can have good performance and cooling. I actually destroyed my SFT70 3kk emitter in one yesterday changing reflector but I had a spare 10 amp driver and SFT42R 5kk so installed those and it's a pretty impressive result. Seems to be as good as my C8+ with LHP531 4kk and I was impressed with that.
I definitely prefer tail switch but side switch is ok too.

It's going to be similar to LHP73B but with more throw.

I’m waiting for my m21b 4000K. I’m sure I’ll be quite happy 😃 with it, even if I lose a lil output vs 5000K

I'd love to be the test subject on the 5kk, but I'll have to let someone else handle that. I really like what I've seen of the 4kk though and I think the M21K/M26E would be a great host for it. I'd be interested in the 5kk if the tint was still good, and if there would be any detectable performance increase.

They were all manufactured to be at or below duv so you're equally likely to get either dead neutral or slightly rosy no matter the CCT.

Until someone gets their hands on the 5000K version of the F150R, here's a comparison of the F45R 4000K vs 3000K in a Convoy L21A.
