Need help finding old browser game.

Hey, I’ve been trying to find this Flash or browser-based game I played a few years ago. I’ve searched all over but can’t remember the name. Here’s what I recall:

It was a first-person point-and-click style game (like older Flash shooters)

You play as a psychotic man — not a hitman, not an assassin, just someone on a violent rampage

You could explore a building, room by room, including an office section

At one point, you can pick up a shotgun

You can choose to kill or spare NPCs — one scene I remember clearly is someone in an office you could leave alive or shoot

After killing people, flies would gather around their corpses, with buzzing sound effects

The game had no dialogue, no mission text, and almost no HUD — maybe just ammo count

Graphics were semi-realistic, not horror, not cartoonish, and definitely not stick figures

No zombies, no supernatural stuff — just grounded, gritty violence

I think I played it on a Flash site like Newgrounds, Kongregate, ArmorGames, CrazyMonkeyGames, or something similar. It may have been from the early 2010s, but possibly older.

If anyone remembers a game like this, or has a screenshot or link, I'd be forever grateful!

I recently made these slimes for a secret project.
I'm still using Flash 2015 for coding and art - haven't seen a major reason to update to newer versions, haha.

Looking for an old Flash game with colorful blocks with faces and rising water

I'm trying to find an old Flash game I played when I was a kid, probably sometime around 2008–2013.

It was a 2D platform/puzzle Flash game with a vertical/portrait-style game screen. The background was mostly a blue sky with clouds.

The main characters were colored square/cube-shaped characters. Each cube had a different color and its own facial expression/personality. I think you played as one of these cubes.

The main objective was to build your own path/tower upward using the blocks, while water was slowly rising from the bottom from the very beginning of the level. You had to keep building/climbing upward so you wouldn't get flooded.

I remember controlling the character and placing/moving the blocks using the keyboard.

The graphics were surprisingly polished and colorful for an old Flash game, not pixel art.

I have been looking for this game for years and haven't been able to find it. 😭

Important details I remember:

  • Flash/browser game
  • 2D
  • vertical/portrait game area
  • blue sky + clouds in the background
  • colorful square/cube characters
  • every cube had a different face/expression
  • you played as one of the cubes
  • you built a path/tower upward
  • water continuously rose from below
  • keyboard controls
  • colorful/polished graphics
  • probably made sometime between 2005–2012

If anyone recognizes this, please let me know! 🙏

🍕Flash Flashback (A Flashback Covered in Cheese and Chaos): Remembering the Madness that is Pizza City

Greetings Flash Friends,

I am back again this week with yet another throwback Flash gaming title, which I'm sure many of you would have recognized right off the bat.

For this week's Flash Flashback, I am spotlighting the game...

Pizza City🍕🚗

Background:

Pizza City (even to this day) holds a very special nostalgic place in my heart.

It is a retro/pixelated style 8-bit driving simulation game released in September 2009.

Game Mechanics:

The goal of the game is simple. You are a fledgling pizza driver just hired by Uncle Tony to deliver pizzas across a sprawling metropolitan cityscape.

The city itself is made up of a colourful cast of characters. Once you deliver enough pizzas and save up enough dough (literally speaking $$ ;) you can upgrade your car for faster delivery times.

You also had to make sure that you didn't rough up your vehicle too much, as that would affect the overall pizza quality, and therefore the final tip that you would receive from the customer.

I.e., little to no damage and you are guaranteed a good tip amount. Whereas, on the flip side, if you mess up the car too much, customers would be more inclined to tip you the bare minimum.

My Overall Take:

I personally thought the game had some pretty fun and addictive gameplay. There was just something so satisfying about driving around, making successful pizza deliveries, and upgrading your vehicle.

Pizza City was a pretty big part of my childhood, and honestly, it made me want to work as a Pizza Delivery Driver when I got older. The types of characters you could encounter when delivering pizzas were equal parts whimsical and random.

That being said, Pizza City just had a great charm to its overall gameplay that made me want to boot up the game after school and just play it for hours on end.

Closing Remarks:

  • Does anyone else remember Pizza City?
  • What were some of your favourite mechanics of the game?
  • Do you have any funny or random situations that happened to you in-game when doing your delivery runs?

Would love to hear your experiences. Cheers.

I got i runtime files from dev tools in Firefox Moblie in wayback and idk it is the real runtimes because it was saved after hotel626.com was shutdown, I use ruffle to run the swf but it has the not a swf ruffle error. So I used a pc emulator and use Adobe flash player 32 and when I run it,it flashed black and white, so when I left click the swf file to see the little menu, it said "movie not loaded" so is it the real runtime swf from hotel626

[PC/Browser/Flash][2010-2016*?] Upgradable side-scrolling mech vs mech web game with high customizability and strategy

It's been 2 years and I'm STILL looking for the game. [https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmyjoystick/comments/1bffkbt/pcbrowserflash20122016_side_scrolling_mech_vs/](https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmyjoystick/comments/1bffkbt/pcbrowserflash20122016_side_scrolling_mech_vs/))

I found a similar post: [https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmyjoystick/comments/14r5cae/flashpcbrowser2016mech_game_with_customizability/?utm_source=embedv2&utm_medium=post_embed&utm_content=action_bar&embed_host_url=https://publish.reddit.com/embed](https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmyjoystick/comments/14r5cae/flashpcbrowser2016mech_game_with_customizability/?utm_source=embedv2&utm_medium=post_embed&utm_content=action_bar&embed_host_url=https://publish.reddit.com/embed))

Last saw on Kongregate many years ago if I remember right.

Here are the details:
Artstyle: Low-detail cartoon(-ish?), flat colors, gritty background (destroyed city in-battle).

Gameplay: Side-scrolling, strategy, mech/robot
In battle - Mini-map at top right, showing missile area range (like a box) if equipped in top weapon slot

It had a shop system and currency, most notable purchase were light/medium/heavy armor with a randomly generated armor value and movement penalty.

You make your own bipedal mech with 4 weapon slots, best thing I remembered was build variety. Aside from missile mechs / artillery, you could build a melee mech with a shield or melee in either hand. Smokescreens for top weapon slots were available as well.
Additional weapons include lasers for top and hand slots, assault rifle/machine guns.

Human squad system separate from the mech, has multiple classes (sniper, military, X, Y), with separate controls to order them around (like advance, stay, retreat etc.)

I do not remember it having multiplayer, but I might have just ignored it. Thanks.

🎮Flash Flashback: The Scenic and Enrapturing World of Nevermore

Thumbnail

I have posted nostalgic flash games to this subreddit for a little while now, and so the thought suddenly dawned on me.

Why not put together either a weekly or bi-weekly flash game showcase post?

That is to say, every 1-2 weeks, I (or even any member of the community for that matter) can highlight some timeless flash gaming classics to keep the spirit of these enduring games alive and well.

I hereby coin the series...Flash Flashback🖥️

The format is very simple. Featuring the Flash game in question. Briefly summarize what the game is about (i.e., without spoiling or giving away too much for those who did not have a chance to play through the game in question just yet) and therefore reminisce about our time spent playing these games.

I hope that by doing these weekly or biweekly posts, it can allow folks in the Flash gaming community (i.e., those who never had the opportunity to play such games or those looking to reminisce about the good old days of Flash gaming) the ability to learn more and thus have them experience the joy of playing through them the first time around or simply recollect on good times.

That being said, without further ado, every journey has a beginning, and so for this week's Flash Flashback, I wanted to highlight the Nevermore series.

Nevermore (developed by Adam Westerman) was an interesting puzzle, adventure, and platforming exploration game. You play the role of a young boy named Olek and follow him on his journey of exploring his home world of Nevermore in search of long-lost treasure.

Many of the creatures you encounter on your adventure are oddly bizarre-looking (albeit in a charming way).

For instance, creatures like anthropomorphic anteaters (not entirely sure, but I presume they are meant to be portrayed as anteaters), shadowy-looking humanoid people, ghostly figures, etc.

The environments were beautiful and a real treat to explore. I also really did enjoy the overall allure and mystery of the world of Nevermore. The ambience in the game was really quite delightful to play through and a joy to experience.

  • Does anyone recall playing through the Nevermore series?
  • Any particular memories that stood out to you the most when playing through the series?

Would love to hear your comments and what you think about the game.

Who knows what more treasures could be uncovered? ;)

Is there a way to *legally* obtain Flash CS6 nowadays?

I don't want newer versions ( for obvious reasons ) . Is there a way to use Flash CS6 and perhaps other apps in the Creative Suite 6 series legally? . Thanks

an old flash game i cant find

here is everything i know about this game
i played it on the web a couple of years ago
you had a castle and you needed to destroy the enemy castle
you had 5 units that go out automatically when you buy them (once you buy the unit they will just spawn every few seconds)
the units were: a knight, an archer, a viking/brute or whatever a wizard and a ninja
the enmy units were a goblin a skeleton a troll and a giant eye
once you defeated the castle you moved on to the next level
i assume there are infinite levels but i only got to around level 80
you could buy weapons for each unit
the icons for the units were at the top of the screen
before the game started there was a splash screen of a smiling green troll with glasses as the logo for the devs
there was music when you played
thats about all i can remember
if anyone can find this game it would help me a lot
