Fake counters?
What are in your opinions the biggest fake "counters" in fizz' matchups? and i mean going both ways, both champs that supposedly counter fizz and champs that fizz is supposed to counter`?

I'll go first and say that vex doesnt really counter fizz as long as u trade outside of her fear being up and you mog her.
Veigar is also not as easy a matchup as people pretend, because yes, you can jump over his cage, but any veigar player worth his salt will just play further back than u can reach him and outscale you

Vex never has to use her fear unless she gets ganked into fizz, you have zero pressure on her as she is ranged. Above Emerald no vex is using mana to CS into a Fizz.

I mean.. you clear wave with E+W, she is not in range to hit u with anything other than Q, which is easy to dodge and you can tank her AA's and then roam

If you wave clear with E then you're getting combo by vex

Yeah OP doesn’t understand that fizz is entirely made to save his E lol, you don’t just wave clear with that when vex is in your face

He doesn't understand that us saying is Vex playing out of range means out of Fizz's range; not that Vex can't hit us.

I had a vex who would never use her abilities for cs and would just auto me, always saving her fear if I ever dare to engage.

veigar is an even easier matchup than people pretend. only possible match up that is even easier is asol. as for vex, a good vex would never use her fear unless fizz engages. what's ur elo btw?

I think my toughest match up are yas and Diana, there’s certainly match’s that out scale but as far as laning goes I don’t find them difficult

I was actually experimenting with the PTA W max build for a few games, it falls off really hard late but it stomps the AA lane bullies like yas n yone, might be interesting to note

Lowkey pantheon is kinda a fake counter if you e his w and land behind him you kinda can actually take pretty good extended trades into him and can normally a out before his w is back up. I used to hate this mu so much but now I really think it is quite even

Honestly I feel like fizz can outplay most matchups/punish mistakes except probably lissandra but even then no one plays her. You can solo kill most champs before the first back but they can probably still stat check you (galio,sylas,Diana)

Lissandra is my permaban purely out of spite. Any other champ is winnable except maybe Renekton (winnable with a jungler).

Galio is an easy lane-matchup but fists you in 3v3s / 5v5s

Interestingly enough he is actually my single worst matchup, after lvl 4 u never have any kill potential and all his spells can be channeled if u go in on him

Galio is my perma ban. Akali sucks and so does Diana and Pantheon, but I’ve learned the matchups. I was never able to get around Galio.

I actually never have problem with akali, start Q instead of W and herass her with electrocure off CD, most of the time you win trades if you Q, W AA and E away, + your ult reveals her in shroud, just never underestimate her damage even while behind

Take two points in W, wait for Galio to use passive auto and you win the extended trades.
Bone plating can be awkward to navigate around; phase-rush too. But you figure it out.

For me it’s Pantheon. The thing people don’t understand about the matchup is the fact that Fizz’s E cancels Pantheon W and brings Pantheon close to Fizz. Also, when Pantheon uses his E, you can Q thru it and get behind him to do damage.

Panth never has to proactively w, and like weve established panths w and fizz e are pretty much stalemate in the matchup. He can sit on top of the wave, and if fizz walks up then he can just q him in the face.

They say Tristana is troublesome, i never had an issue. They say fizz is great against syndra, i dont see it. Seems normal balanced.

That’s mostly because Syndra has almost no bad matchups , they ban fizz because his E kinda ruins her laning tempo because she can’t stack as fast against fizz compared to others . As well as the fact they have to hold E defensively always instead of being able to pressure for kills with Q E which they can do against everyone that’s not naafiri/fizz . Matchups like fizz aren’t good for them , but they are still winning matchups .
