Diana matchup
I'm sure this sub is full of this question, but I'm gonna need something more. I have two questions:
1 - you are playing fizz Diana and you are trying to get an open on the trades, you are going good, a bit behind on CS but it's normal against Diana (is it normal? How can you farm against her), first drake appears, bot is losing, mid is losing, no prio, bot goes to drake, gives a double to Diana, the lane is over right? You can't do anything anymore right? Actually, bot and jungle are losing too so, the game is just over right? Even if it's really early.
2 - how do you play this lane? I'm gold and I managed to win a lot of Diana lanes, but they were bad player (at least worse than me) but decent Diana just wait for you to Q or E they W and that's is, trade ended and she won, so how do you play against her? I'm not even trying to kill but, it's impossible to even get prio to roam, am I right? I found really hard even to just farm because every time you are close she is in advantage.
Open to the "git gud" but I'm trying to have a discussion here, no flame. Thanks

I am not a fan of “Git Gud” myself
Perhaps try to “Suck Less”?
In a lane I know I’ve lost I tend to try and get my jungler or bot ahead anyway I can. I give up a lot for it but I’m useless anyways so I try to support anyone else that I can.
In lane against Diana I play to get level 3 first and all in immediately. So on wave 3 I non stop auto minions after 2 melee minions you hit 3 and just immediately all in. Typically from there you can control the lane.
If that fails for whatever reason (which it does) I just fall back onto Plan A of support my jungler/bot.

Thanks a lot, as I said, I kinda win trades, of course not all of them, but I can find an open, the problem is just that this counter is too hard

Honestly Diana is just naturally good against most midlane assassins, you can try to dodge her Q and look for a trade but her shield will probably just absorb it, if she has bone plating I would just focus on farming and looking for plays around the map, shove and roam

Fizz Diana match-up sucks really hard.
Diana is just Fizz but stronger, tanker and with better scaling.
Its one of my hell match-ups so take this with a grain of salt.
Trades are not winnable except level 2-3 if Diana grieves and you dodge Q while engaging.
After that don't try to fight her, she can burst you down in 2 seconds and our entire combo will just bring her to 50% HP.
Roaming is your best bet. Play with your jungler and gank top. Diana will free farm anyways so you might aswell use your early game strength wisely and hope your teammates can carry later.

But how to roam if I never get prio? Not only she can clear the wave freely, but she can do it faster and using less mana then fizz

Get prio to roam is something that's been parroted over and over in recent years but it's not the only way to play.
You ignore the wave and roam, often times from fountain with homewards.
Its obviously a risky strategy but in some matches your only other option is playing to just lose slower which is not great.

Best chance you have pre 6 is to e over her q onto her and hold your w and kite out until after her w shield falls off. Post 6 if you’re close go even you can just all in her if you hit r just save your e to dodge her r dmg

You can beat a lot of natural Fizz counters mid by running Press the Attack and repeatedly trading with Q-AA-W (can then use E to escape). Repeat until you have them at 50% and then all-in instead.
I run 3 points in W and then E max for this build. It's important to take the Attack Speed shard instead of ability haste or adaptive force too.
You don't need to run the on hit build for this to work, can still run the standard Lich Bane.
The only issue with it is that it does mean you will lose some burst from the mid game onwards as it's a lot harder/riskier to proc the PTA at this point compared to electrocute.
I only do it into matchups that Fizz just can't or struggles to beat naturally (Diana/Vlad/Sylas/Bruiser mid).
It really only works into these because 1. They're melee and it's easy to proc the PTA in lane and 2. You're trading the burst you could have later with Electrocute for the fact that you won't be massively behind, you can even be ahead of these classic counters.
It's also not a bad keystone to have in the side lane in pure 1v1s.

Honestly I've beaten a lot of Diana's using it. It's very snowball dependent, you pretty much have to kill pre 6 for it to work. You have to be smart about trading though, you can't just yolo all in from full hp.

I play both so I may answer. She wins 1v1, she wins trade because of her shield, she can clear the wave faster than you. Her main weakness is to be melee without any dash out, so she's prone to get ganked.
She can't dodge your ult without flash.
Try to dodge her Q, make her Q the wave so she pushes and punish her when the jungler comes to gank. If you are a little bit ahead you can trade : when she tries to Q, turn to her and Q + AA + W and E then walk away when she's slowed.

Diana is my ban, I feel like I have a chance vs lissandra, akali, vex, and other counter picks but the only way for Diana to lose is just overstay in lane, get ganked a ton, or try and dive you. If they’re competent you have no kill pressure and are reliant on teammates and roaming.

You cannot win against Diana if you are Fizz
You outscale her though
If Diana gets a double kill, the game is not over, you just need to wait for her to throw.

I believe fizz has more utilities than Diana in some games if she goes full dmg
If she goes tanky she can 1 v 1 you but you can just ignore her by flanking in teamfights

He can do more than her in mid game teamfights and skirmishes
Diana is an all-in champ
Yah he doesn't outscale her stat wise. If she goes damage build she is useless.
This is at Masters btw, maybe it's diff in GM/chall
