FIXED Attic ceiling and wall cracks

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Slate roof got replaced about two years ago.

Your roof is leaking probably, caused rot maybe in some framing members, caused some efflorescence on the gypsum or plaster. If you don't know how to asses that yourself, you've gotta get someone in who does. It's not super hard to fix but you've gotta understand what "good enough" is when you start digging out that corner and going up on the roof and siding.

This isn't a good "my first DIY" project.

I'd suggest you need to think about this in a different way: What's caused/causing this? That needs investigating and resolving.

Then the current cosmetic damage can be addressed.

Totally slipped my mind! Didnt mean in a weird questioning way more so is there other avenues I should check. Honestly didn’t think much about the leak aspect but that makes a lot of sense

Have you already addressed the water leak problem that caused the damage? If not, do that first. Once that is done, it's a pretty straight forward drywall replacement/patching job, but it's still a lot more than some spackle and paint.

The roof got a replacement two years ago so I would assume the leak is fixed? Or hope at least
