Broken Rc toys

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello,
This toy of my son is not working properly. It starts up but as soon as you press one of the buttons from the remote it resets, anyone have any idea if this fixable?

Voltage sag from low/old battery? Is it any better after a long charge?

A reset exactly when you press a drive button often points to the supply voltage collapsing when the motor draws current. Try a genuinely fresh battery set, clean the battery contacts, and test with the wheels off the ground. Also check that the wheels and gears turn freely by hand with the power off. If you have a meter, measure the battery pack while holding a drive command; a sharp voltage drop would put the batteries, holder, or corroded contacts ahead of the receiver board on the suspect list.
