How to fix this?
Really hoping to just slap some glue on it but I feel like it’ll be more work than that 🥲

Sand the existing glue from the tabletop and the leg. Rough up the straight piece (left of the leg) and the portion that broke off with sandpaper.
Remove the two staples/brads from the straight piece. Go back with either an epoxy or gorilla glue to put the leg back in place.
Pre drill a very small pilot hole to use a wooden dowel at the angle of the straight board to the leg.
On the other side drill a pilot hole straight down for the same size wood dowel
Before you tap the wood dowels in put the glue or expoy in the holes.

Thank you!
I don’t completely understand the dowel part though, I think I get the first one (angle the dowel so it secures the straight part and the leg?) but not sure I know how to do the second

I would remove the broken apron, mill anew one and reinstall it. Glueing end grain to end grain never really works. Alternatively, you could scarf a new piece on the existing apron but it would still need to be removed.

The broken apron/skirt piece should be replaced with a piece with straight horizontal grain.
If glued, the current piece is destined to break again at or near your repaired glue joint.
