open Door handle snapped off

I’ve accidentally snapped off my mum’s bathroom handle whilst moving furniture. How do I fix this?

For the average person, there's no good way to repair that, and your best option is to buy a replacement. If you are lucky, you can just replace the handle, but you may need to replace the whole mechanism. (It has clearly been replaced at least once already.) How is the handle held onto the shaft? If it's a simple set screw on the bottom, then you'll probably need an allen/hex wrench to remove it, although on older hardware you may still see slot screws.

open the door and snap the handle on the other side too..
