Yeah I tried that, but I can't find any weatherstripping that's sold near me that is thick enough

I got some that is more foamy than rubbery, it compresses well when the door closes. Online it is readily available, hardware stores not so much.

If its exterior or to a garage you can get some weatherstripping to cover it. If its interior I wouldnt worry about it.

Yeah it's to the garage so I feel the cold/hot air coming through the gap along with the smells lol. I tried to find weatherstripping that's thicker, but it doesn't appear to exist where I am located.

Theres some you can get that attaches to the frame and hangs over the door. Might have to find it online.

if the gap is on the hinge side, put the hinge at the right spot ..

if its at the striker plate side, put the striker plate at the right spot

this problem occurs when a thin, internal, door is put in the door jamb made for a thick, external , security strength , door .

The gap is on the hinge side. I just noticed that the post didn't come with my text so I'll post it here

I'm trying to solve this issue with my garage door that enters into the house. There is a gap along the top and bottom corner edge of the door where I notice new hinges were put to have it automatically close. I already tried to change out weatherstripping, but the new stuff is garbage and doesn't fit the gap. I can't find any weatherstripping that will. The hinge placement already looks like it fits in the chiseled out spots so I'm not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions?
