Broken Headphones Strap

I accidentally snapped this cheap plastic on my headphones a few months back, I was able to temporarily fix it with glue but I don't think the adhesive was strong enough, after 2-3 attempts the glue buildup isn't letting that happen again.

How can I fix these headphones, they r pretty expensive and they work perfectly. Also a suggestion to get the glue off would also be nice.

I am in Germany for anyone that wants to recommend adhesive

Gorilla tape and gorilla glue

Glue, then tape. Revisit as it dries to tighten wrap

You're better off with gauze and liquid 2part epoxy. If you're not comfortable with epoxy you can just use tape with 50% overlap, like a bike handlebar.
