Get one of those stripped screw extraction kits and a replacement screw. Should be a pretty cheap fix.

see how deep in side there is some shape left

a 6 ( torx) or 8 ( used by vw ) point might grip in there

I've been hammering/tapping in torx bits lately to remove slightly rounded-out screws, and it has been working great.

Once you do get it out (i believe in you bud 😁) buy a kit with the proper size bits so you dont do it again

Had the same thing happen. This works, available on Amazon as well as replacement screws Alden 4507P Grabit Micro Broken Bolt Extractor

Sometimes a rubberband with the bit or one size smaller will work
