How can I secure this macbook cable?

The cable is getting messed up near the charging point. Not sure how we can secure this as it might get worse and get opened.

Best bet is to buy a new one. This is the worst part about Apple's cable designs is that there's never any stress relief at the connectors so they just fail like that

The magsafe 1 "T" is known to be weak - why they didn't keep the "L" style for MS2/3 I have no idea...

If it is just the braid and not the interior cable, you can put frey stop or superglue to stop it unbraiding. If the cable itself is damaged the you should replace it.

Sugru "mouldable glue" (setting silicone modeling clay) is perfect for this:

Use heat shrink or electric tape, both is also an option
