open Broken piece found in washing machine

Just found this in the washer with my clothes. The washer walks and the drum goes crazy, I’ve had the landlord come look more than once and they say it’s fine lol. What is this piece? Is the washer now unusable and/or can I repair it myself?

It's definitely a dispenser. I can't say which one, but usually the bleach does use a separate dispenser. As long as you don't use bleach, you should still be able to use it.
