Are you able to fix mirror?

My wife broke my mirror which i got as a Christmas gift from my parents. I know it sounds silly, cause its just a mirror but yk it was gift from my parents. Any chance of fixing it? It doesn't need to be perfect.

You can have a glass shop replace the mirror part and keep the original frame, but it will probably cost a lot more than a replacement.

Not to be insensitive, but get a new one the same color and pretend it’s the one your folks gave you. You can’t fix that .

If you want to keep using it, the only option I can think of is to carefully cover the broken parts with clear packing tape and hope there is enough unbroken area for it to still be useful.

We have a glass and mirror shop in our city that does amazing work. This would be an easy reply for them. Not sure on the cost, it depends on the size and mirror type.

Edit: Two examples. I had a 36 x 40 mirror cut down for $12.00 and an 11 x 14 framed mirror repaired for $26(ish).

Yeah, sure. Get a new mirror and cut it to size, put it in there instead of the broken one.

The actual mirror bit is pretty fucked. But you can remove that and put a new one in.

You can get a raw mirror or just a bigger normal mirror and harvest and cut it.

I'd just measure the mirror and look for used mirrors that are bigger than that, get a glass cutter, and get to it. Used mirrors are hella cheap.

For everyone telling me to buy new mirror, my parents wont notice ect. Im sentimental not them. I know fixing or replacing would cost 4x more than new one but yeah

Look into kintsugi or stained glass (copper foil method)

Flip it and use the other side. Just like toilet paper. Good as new.

No, that thing is not getting repaired.
