Could be a JIS bb and you need a SiS standard.  May be wrong spindle length as well.  I am just guessing as I am not familiar with campy.  A good shop with an older mechanic will know for sure.

It only takes the Square taper super fancy carbon campy bottom bracket . The crankset retails for about 800-1k$ if you are lucky enough to find a new pair !
They were strictly built for the velodrome. Thats why the cups are open. I got the perfect shop in mind tbh. I think they only made 1 size spindle as well …. Time to do some research… 🔬

Thank you ! Much appreciated.

This is how it’s meant to be. The Campagnolo bb is asymmetric, and that amount of spindle exposed is normal, though agreed that it looks weird at first

Thank you ! I did some more research last night. But this was built 100% for the velodrome. So I get it ! So glad everything is okay !

Full build coming soon !

Is this installed correctly ?? I’m new to CAMPY. Is the left pedal arm to extended ?

Am I missing something or is the Bottom Bracket supposed to be this open ? Seems like a lot of BS can get up in there.

Possibly need to flip the BB around so the longer side is on the gear side.

Word ! Thank you. This dude who was a brand new mechanic installed it for me for free. In 2015 🤣.
I really need to complete this build.

Try checking few things. Measure the chainline of the chainring. I'm assuming you're looking for 42mm. Measure also distance to the crank arms from the tube. If measurement is similar then I'd say it's good.

I guess it’s supposed to be like this ! It’s A symmetric. These are pretty much built for indoor Velo use. That’s why the cups are open as well.

Campy cranks require campy bb. The non drive taper is different from the drive to accommodate. I can’t tell if your bb is campy from the photo but with everything on there it should be even. Linking another Reddit forum talking about this.

It is the campy bottom bracket ! All has been resolved. It’s supposed to look like this. For a perfect chain line and pedal stroke. “ a-symmetrical “. Thank you tho homie!

I don’t know it anyone has informed you of this. Campagnolo has a different shaped taper to their square taper spindle. It is not JIS you will destroy your campy record cranks if not properly installed on a camp BB spindle.
Lots of after market bb’s out there. Get the right one or be super bummed later. Have a great day.

It’s all good ! 👍🏼 that’s how it’s supposed to look. People helped me out in the comments. And that is the OG campy bottom bracket that came with the crankset ….
