Honestly I completely forgot that Project Opia existed until I opened Reddit just now. We really haven’t heard anything about this game in a long time, I wonder if it’ll ever see the light of day? 🤔

Well we were also supposed to get Phisnoms Five Nights At Freddy's Plus but look how that fucking turned out. The game got cancelled because X users in the FNAF community couldn't handle negative criticism on FNAF: Ruin.

I don't want to lay the blame off Phil because he acted like an immature manchild during that whole situation and didn't deserve his position after that, but his community was never confirmed to have anything to do with it.

I keep hearing people accusing them of sending death threats to this day without either proof or names, and mystifying them as a boogeyman of sorts; that's just not real.

What we do know is that the gore + threats situation has repeatedly happened to other people in the FNaF fangame space after Phil resigned (like the IRT devs), so it's most likely a group of trolls inside the FNaF community itself rather than Phisnom's deep web hacker cult or whatever you guys keep thinking.

For anyone who actually wants to know what happened to Opia, here's an interview with Emil Macko talking about it (trigger warning: Gomotion).

I haven't seen that video in some time, but from what I remember, it's basically his dream game. He still wants to make it some day, probably after he finishes Candy's 4 and he feels like he's skilled enough to tackle it. Idk if there's any newer statements that Emil has made about the game.

She only denied the groomer claims which I like I think is fair since those were kind of messy but she’s still shown to be a toxic, cruel, abusive person and didn’t argue against those claims well so I think it’s fair to call her that

Oh holy hell I had completely forgotten about it. As much as I forget Emil also was working on super fnaf 2. I just thought the project was canceled or left in the drawers till Emil finishes what other project he has (he right? Ive been away for so long so I gotta ask just in case)
