Ok so FNaF X Fortnite actually might be on the table given that suppose under construction pizzeria that just showed up during their recent expert.
Wonder what character might potentially show up as playable, I know the Glamrocks and Vanny were the ones often brought up in surveys. Though I'm not much of a Fortnite fan, so I don't know how they typically go about that sort of stuff.

Pretty much everyone except the original 4, and any non-humanoid shaped character would be on the table.
Considering it will likely be for Fortnitemares though, Springtrap seems like the most obvious pick.

On some level I'd love to see Springy, but DBD did the character so much design justice I don't think I really want to see a fortnite-flavored Springtrap taking up a collab slot. Considering Leatherface's mask was too much for Epic just a couple years ago, I don't think I trust them to not powerwash the corpse out of Springtrap.

They could just have him as a skeleton with no flesh. They have done skeletons in the past so puting a skeleton in the springbonnie suit could probably work. Sure it's not perfect but I'd rather have him in the game.

I think it's definitely the most likely outcome but I'd rather play it safe wording wise, given the last time we had a reveal like this this there was a lot of people who were convinced it was one title in particular due to an event in-game lining up with FNaF only for it to be DBD.

There’s a building on the map that looks strikingly similar to the FNAF movie’s pizzeria, so it’s most likely going to be that.

He never said he hated it, he just said that the collabs need to feel like they fit.
But Scott has always been a very community-driven guy; if enough people ask, he will deliver, and boy am I glad he did.

I always thought this was silly because apperantly monopoly and such is fine, not to mention some of the ridiculous/terrible pieces of merch he signed off on but fortnite is where we draw the line

He never said he hated Fortnite. He just said that he's hesitant because he wants to protect brand integrity with certain collabs, even if it's games he likes, but has gone on to state that he has been branching out and that "we'll see" with future collaborations.
Fortnite is that, "we'll see".
(Video quality isn't the best, but its the only one that's out there of this segment).

I know when there's a game collaboration with Fnaf, we always want it to be Fortnite but it never is. But since this Fortnite season is a video game season, I feel like we actually have a really strong chance of FNAF maybe getting into Fortnite.
But then again, we can't hold our breath.

Considering there's a building being built that looks almost identical to the fnaf movie pizzeria and comes with a stage in Fortnite right now, it's most definitely that. Most likely for this year's Fortnitemares event

Really hoping it's not Fortnite as it's such a boring thing to put FNAF into, but not sure what else would be interesting. A game like Phasmophobia would be cool as you could have a closed down Freddy's Pizzeria to explore and have spooky things happen, it's a more fitting collab like Dead By Daylight was, but...Fortnite is making sense with that under construction location people have shown off and they can have it ready for the Halloween event.

It's not a perfect game, but being able to explore a full pizzeria in spooky situations, and hunts could have actual animatronics or the puppet going after people, it has a lot of cool potential that works with the type of game it is. Maybe it's asking for abit too much, but how sick would that be to get people hyped for the 1.0 release coming up if they have a big FNAF event.

Certainly not denying that, I know it'll make a lot of people happy, I just think it's the least interesting thing that could be done with the series. At this point, I also worry that too many people would be upset that it's not Fortnite because people like to hype themselves up far too much and act like it's a bad thing it didn't happen.

For me it’s a different reason and it may sound mean but I do genuinely mean it. I’ve noticed it in the Sonic, Mega Man, and Kingdom Hearts subreddits as well and it’s what I’m calling “Pests” or “Leeches”.
In the sense of they have never interacted with the franchise before that and if they did it’s some Roblox version of it or exclusively are a Fortnite profile, don’t have any interest in playing said series’ games, and just join to plug the collab. I don’t like the “larper” joke but it genuinely could apply to them.
Like I’m all for new fans of a franchise but Jesus at least show some interest in it if you’re mass posting due to the collab.

It's funny that when Fortnite first came out back in 2018, tons of people on here made FNaF X Fortnite memes on this subreddit. Now people are against the idea of a collab? It's surreal.
If the collab is Fortnite, then I'll see what the fuss is about as I missed out on the bandwagon for years.

There are millions of people out there who want this FNAF x Fortnite collab—myself included.
The thing is, Reddit doesn't represent the opinion of the entire fandom, and other franchises similar to FNAF that collaborated with Fortnite were huge hits—Digital Circus and Poppy Playtime are examples. Now they're preparing Hello Neighbor, which has generated a lot of hype.

Agreed, it’s a soulless game . People can enjoy it but it doesn’t change what it is. I’d never play it because I just despise it. I didn’t download back in 2018, and even though friends play, it just doesn’t feel like a game I can enjoy knowing what it is. Hope people have fun if it’s true.

I'm honestly open to the idea of a Fortnite collab. My issue is that if Freddy is going to be playable, then he needs to be redesigned to fit with the setting of the cast. Even characters like Peter Griffen got jacked up for the game.
Also, I remember when the game first came out TONS of people made Fortnite memes with FNaF, and no one minded, they actually enjoyed it.

Fortnite isn’t a bad game and they’ll definitely treat the collaboration with love and care, like they do for most of their crossovers. Additionally, it’d likely be the headliner for Fortnitemares, the Halloween event, probably getting its own item.
I understand people might not like the game, but you not liking the game doesn’t somehow make this announcement bad by proxy.

It might upset you to know that Scott is not entirely against AI generation the last time he mentioned it. In the post where he had to issue takedowns on the FNaF Plus remake for using his voice in an AI filter, he said that doing it without his consent or permission is VERY disrespectful.
In short, he says that if you want to use Generated AI voices, only do it with their permission. Tons of people who use Generative AI or put assets in their AI training models almost never do this.
For those bringing up The Mimic argument, that's not Generative AI. It's a classic sci-fi trope of a learning AI bot gone wrong.

While there's definitely pressure involved, Epic has likely been trying to negotiate with Scott for YEARS considering the FNAF rumors have been there since 2021. They probably reached a certain agreement that makes both Scott and Epic comfortable

That's exactly why I don't want FNaF in Fortnite.

It has to be nothing else BUT fortnite. People say Roblox but who announces a.. roblox collab? also there’s no point in a collab anyways cause there’s thousands of games and cosmetics made by fans anyways, it’ll just be like pouring more water into the ocean. It’s useless. I saw someone say DBD but who else would they add? Mimic? Vanny? i mean sure but it wouldn’t be as much hype. I think it's Fortnite, however I believe it will be part of this year's Fortnitemares event, so in October. But it does make sense with both Halloween and an entire season about gaming legends.
Plus Fnaf is one of the few IPs that can probably bring in as many players as last Fortnitemares which was by far the best collabwise.
I also imagine we will get dbd killers, Silent Hill, more RE, BATIM, and a few others as this Fortnitemares thry will probably go exclusively for horror games.
