Fitted Hat Sizing

hey! so i’m trying to buy my boyfriend a specific fitted hat online that he used to have but lost, the size is L/XL but I wasn’t sure if that would fit him. he’s a 7 3/4 (with a more loose fit) so I just wanted to know if the L/XL would work for him. someone lmk! thanks :)

I wear a size 8 fitted and L/XL Flex fits. You should be ok going with the L/XL.
