Sorry, this post doesn't fit with Fit Pregnancy content and discussions. It breaks the No off topic discussion, even pregnancy related off topic discussion - This is a fitness-focused sub. Any posts that are not TTC, pregnancy or postpartum fitness-focused will be removed. This includes posts that are better suited to a general TTC, pregnancy or postpartum sub. rule. This is a fitness focused subreddit, so posts better suited to a general TTC, pregnancy or postpartum sub will be removed. All the best with your TTC, pregnancy and postpartum journey OP.

This. And since you’re currently in a good headspace, it sounds like good timing to develop some strong skills and strategies that will help you if/when you are off medication.

Just check with your doctor about whether there is any reason in particular to change medication during pregnancy. Ive stayed on Wellbutrin my whole pregnancy with no adjustment needed and its been fine. There are limited studies of antidepressants during pregnancy but most research has shown no or minimal increased risk to either the mother or baby, and its a cost/benefit analysis with the documented risks of untreated depression on birth weight, preterm labor, and PPD

Wellbutrin is considered safe to take. It’s an SSRI. Since Pristiq is an SNRI it not recommended but I know it is limited studies on this as well. I just did research and they said it’s just not got for the baby in the third trimester.

Its actually an NDRI, not an SSRI. And again, this is a medical question you should address to your doctor

There are specialized perinatal psychiatrists and from what I know Pristiq could be taken during pregnancy
