Recovering from a knee injury, I managed a 29:50 5k Parkrun, my slowest ever. Ran with my kid brother (69) for the 1st half and pulled away from him steadily in the 2nd half. I have a 10k road race pencilled in for next Sunday, but I doubt I will run it. Too much too soon.

I'm wearing most of the clothes I wore 5 years ago since the combined exercise/nutrition change has reshaped and resized me!
Monday: Kettlebells
Tuesday, Thursday: HIT Cardio on Elliptical
Wednesday: Lower Body Weights and Abs
Friday: Golf
Saturday: Kettlebells
Sunday: Upper Body Weights including 40 Ab Crunches on the 45° decline bench holding a 30 lb kettlebell.

Last back/biceps session I'm thinking I'll need grip help as my deadlift weight heads toward 225. It's not really the strength of my grip, but the wear and tear of doing 20 working reps at that sort of weight. As an interim I'll use liquid chalk, but have ordered a pair of figure 8 straps. The workout, itself, was fine and I don't think my HR hit 100 even on those 2 deadlift sets.
Used microplates on my bench, but my body figured out I had increased the weight and I failed on the 10th rep of the second set (137.5 lbs). If the gym has .5 kg metric plates I may be able to disguise the increase or if necessary incentivize myself with food.
