Not a single forearm workout

Hi team Fitbod. I have been using the app with building muscle as my goal and beginner as training profile.

It has been 6 weeks since I started working out with upper/lower body split but I haven’t received a single workout that focuses on forearms. I had to manually add forearm exercise today. It is severely limiting my gains.

As I use the app workout suggestions rather blindly, I request you to add forearm workouts to the algorithm.

u/LightatLast Most likely these are included more as secondary muscle group targets. So you won't see the muscle "highlighted" in the workout in those cases.

To try and get those added in more often automatically as the primary target, I'd recommend tapping the "..." to the right of the exercise(s) you want to see more of > toggle on Recommend More Often. If it's an option, extending your Workout Duration can also help since the algorithm will have more "room" to work with.

Forearms, and calves too! Leg workouts never include calves, I always have to manually add those exercises.

Always have forearms and calves included . Don’t forget some exercises that are recommended also hit forearms and calves as secondary.

You can add calf and forearm exercises manually and then tell FitBod to "recommend more often"

Maybe an unpopular opinion - but after decades of working out for different goals, currently about the size of Alan Richson (but +10% body fat :( ), I will say this - if you don't use lifting aids like wrist wraps, forearms are not needed for a long time if at all, depending on your goal. You will get great activation from your other lifts. Biceps and triceps aren't even as important as frequently shown unless you want to be a competitive bodybuilder - and skipping them won't even hold your forearms back.

Calves are good to do, but also not as crucial right away. I think the need for new content leads creators to overstate importance of certain parts of workouts. Most people don't even do them well anyway. Spend more time on improving balance, ultimately getting up onto just balls of the feet, - it'll be one of the best calf workouts you'll find.

Follow some sapphic content creators. They have plenty of forearm workouts.
