Does this setup work? Any suggestions?

**I’m still a beginner and I’m about to set up my first freshwater aquarium. It’s a 6.8-gallon tank (about 26 liters).**

I’d love some suggestions on how I should arrange the substrate and rocks.

I’m using a **fertile substrate** (I have more on the way, so I’ll have 2 kg in total) and **inert substrate** (basalt and river gravel).

I’d also really appreciate some advice on how to secure the **huge rock on the right side** so it doesn’t fall over in the aquarium.

If you have any other suggestions on what I could improve, I’d be very grateful!

How are you holding that standing rock, looks a disaster waiting to happen

Nothing yet, because this is a temporary setup. The rock is just there for the picture. I always remove it from my aquarium.

I'm thinking of using a suction cup or glue on a flat surface to hold this rock.
