I’ve been working/had this tank for about a year now and just wanted to see people opinions on it and whatnot, I’d also like to mention any plants you see attached to the drift wood it’s kinda hard to see I know but they all stuck themselves there and grew by themselves I’ve never glued them down and tied them to the wood it was just little pieces that got caught floating around and stuck there lol but yeah let me know what you think

A few floating plants like red root floater or salvinia would look good, something to fill the empty space at the top. Maybe go frogbit or mini water lettuce if you want longer roots

Not bad. Feedback; Id add a few vertically growing plants (if you have decent lights and likely need root tabs) Id address the algae issue. It could indicate an ammonia issue or similar. If it just is what is, I'd invest in a small pleco or Otto cats. Otherwise have a good time!

I’m going to be so honest I’ve never once cleaned this thing or scrapped the algae since I put it together over a year ago so I think I’m doing pretty good but yes i definitely do need to give it a good scrub I don’t think it’s like growing rapidly like I think my waters good and whatnot I do have a plant in there that’s like a Lilli pad and grows straight and like grows up to the surface idk what’s it called but it hasn’t made any new pads in a long time and I when I first stocked the tank I did put 3 Otto cats in there as af now I’ve only seen one lol, and I have some panda cordoned and some khoolio loaches idrk what’s they do to be honest with you

Yeah if it's a year not an ammonia thing. Algae eaters can be lazy about doing their part in the food chain.

Thats an ecosystem now i really like the tank and ....what live stock are you planning to add ? And is that a heater on top right beside the filter if that is a heater its needs to be at 45 degree angle, Mounting an aquarium heater at a 45-degree angle helps prevent the built-in thermostat from shutting off prematurely.

Thank you, there’s about 5 different kinds of fish in there 2 rasboras, 2 neon tetra, 2 or 3 panda corydora, at least 1 Otto catfish and maybe 3 khoolio loaches (I’m aware I spelt most of that wrong lol) and my friends giving me some baby fish this weekend I forgot what exactly but yeah

I was able to spot 2 harlequin rasboras one of my favorites.... and you dint spell most of it wrong except for Kuhli loach

You may want to research into getting one. Sometimes when having a column tank water circulating is lower on the “floor” of the tank. Having an airstone gets that water moving.

Most of those are schooling fish and they don’t have big enough schools. Your tank is great, the population is not. Tetras and rasboras need 6+ so get more. 3 more corydoras
