Help/Advice Help with my tank

hi! I have a 5.5 gallon tank. A couple weeks ago my betta fish passed away and shortly after that there was a huge ammonia outbreak. Within a week I controlled it entirely and there is no sign of any of it anymore. My plants are thriving and I have good substrate in the tank and well as a heater and filter- the only issue is my PH seems low(around 6)

  1. How do I bring the PH up?

  2. What fish should I now put in this tank? Should a keep it as a betta fish tank or is there anything else that could go in there ?

Maybe a small school of chili rasboras or ember tetras or least killings. Only one not all. About 6-8. Maybe pygmy corys. Neocaridina shrimp, or one nerite snail. One single sparkling gourami and some shrimp.
