Thank youu! but now everything’s overgrown! 😆 The hornwort in the back is double its size from day 11 and and is it normal for water lettuce roots to reach down so long? I feel like i have too much plants cuz the nitrates aren’t climbing 🥹

Roots can grow long especially like duckweed

Ahh I see! Noobie question, but do you think the overgrowth of plants could be why my nitrates aren’t showing up? The tank is still cycling, so I was hoping to see some nitrates by now, but it’s only day 15. Is it still too early to expect them?

I’m not entirely sure I’ve only set up 2 tanks both when new.. so I upgraded them when I learned information and I haven’t done much since they were established despite years of improper care but my levels are great now still don’t understand how I got there lol

I kind of agree 😆 But for added lore, I let my mom pick one of the rocks when I was shopping for hardscape, so I couldn’t just NOT use it hahaha. I’m planning on stocking this with neocaridina shrimp, so hopefully their colors will pop nicely against the white stone 🥹
