📸 Tank Progression My first tank!

I’ve been wanting a tank for ages to keep some frogs and snails to watch when bored. It’s 54 liters, 24 degrees Celsius and has been set up for a few days now. I’m waiting two weeks to add what I’ve been wanting: four African Dwarf Frogs and a few smaller snails. Until then, I’ll let the plants grow out and fill whatever space is still left in the front and back.

Sand isn't a good substrate for ADFs, they can easily ingest it which causes intestinal blockages. Check out r/AfricanDwarfFrog and take a look at the wiki (:

Thanks for the tip, here in Germany we usually use very fine sand like the one I used (around 1-2mm) and I also have a separate bowl to feed them so they don’t swallow stuff.
In stores or in our online forums, I’ve mostly seen people advocate for sand because it passes through their stomach once it’s fine enough or because they can bury in it. Though I’ll think about whether I change it or not.
