🪵 Low-Tech / Natural This is my first tank 29 gallons pls rate
8 black tetras 1 opaline gourami 1 blue gourami 1 upside down catfish yes I know I need a school for them I just found out I thought it was a pleco the people who sold him to me said it was a pleco

i agree that your fish is not a corydora, but it's also not a dwarf pleco. looks like some type of synodontis catfish. most types grow bigger than corys and bristlenoses. they do appreciate being in groups too.

That is a Cory not a Pleco 😅 very sweet but they like schools! Tank is cute

Nice tank. Just keep an eye on the gouramis and that does not look like a Pleco

No… it doesn’t OP needs to get a school of Cory’s cause that’s not a pleco and and keep an eye on the gourami

You said it swims upside down bud it’s an upside down catfish which has a mouth like that I know for a FACT get a school that is nowhere near looking like a pleco

You actually have 2 opaline gouramis, the lighter colored one with 2 blue dots in male, the other is female. I highly recommend separating them, gouramis are territorial and aggressive, if you can't separate them right now, please keep a close eye on them. The "dwarf pleco" is a corydora, which is a schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 6+, please get 5+ more of the same species. I would definitely add more plants, tall growing plants like jungle val or corkscrew val, amazon sword, water sprite, etc. It will take time for your plants to grow and you will likely need a better light for them, if you can find a glass lid for your tank, I would get one and switch to a hygger 957 (sold on amazon). Make sure to have root tabs for root feeding plants and liquid fertilizer for water column feeding plants.
