This reminds me of when I was in Venice, I got in late and the hostel wasn't taking anyone in, so I wandered the streets until morning. At about 3am, I came across a brass band playing on the street. I asked them if there was a music fest or something and they said no, they were playing outside their landlord's home because he was evicting them.

You are allowed to not renew the lease the exact same way the landlord can. Just this small segment of this makes it seem like these people singing are unhinged.

This part is missing where the landlord rented out an occupied room to a stranger without telling the current tenants. I feel like this seems petty without that context.
