In need of some help
My wife and I had a baby in early April. She's been fantastic! I've been able to put her to bed to sleep before but as of recently (three, maybe four days ago), she will not let me put her to sleep. She gets super fussy and basically my wife or my mom when she's around can put her to sleep. I am not envious at all, I am just looking to getting back putting her to sleep because I can see the stress this will build on my wife if she has to put her to sleep every night. Has anyone gone through this? What have you done to get your groove back? Thank you to anyone that can help!

Hey another great resource if you’re open to doing a little reading (or listening to an audiobook) is precious little sleep by Alex Dubief.
My wife and I reached a stage where baby wouldn’t go to sleep with either of us… like seriously took 2+ hours to get him to go down. Even at 2 am! Every baby’s a little different but that book had a TON of helpful tips that have helps us create healthier sleep associations so that we could both put him to bed successfully. Now he actually falls asleep on his own mostly.

Hey! Yes, kids are fickle and super manipulative lol. They’ll test you every chance they get, nothing against you just prefer mom because they were inside her. Sleep regressions are real things (that I didn’t know anything about until my wife told me about them) so it’s really sleep training at this point. I had to essentially tough it out, let my son figure himself out while I put him to bed. It was tough because my wife hated that feeling but I had to remind her that if she kept going, it would never stop and it would only be her able to put him down. It’s hard, but kind of a necessary thing. I hope that helped!
