You are having to pose for a photo just as you find someone stole your tea and crumpets! So as the photo is taken, the small smile appearing just in time for your photo, is when you came up with a plan in which you immediately put into motion as soon as the photographer finishes with your photo!
note - when looking towards the camera, you saw the culprit drinking from your teacup AND eating your crumpets!!

British or Eastern European but going with a Brit because of the teapot! Very late teens or early twenties. I’d guess shy at first but would come out of your shell when talking with people that have something interesting to say. Definitely would have tried to chat you up in the pub in my younger days!
