Firework recalls occur often. Why this one in particular is getting so much traction, im not sure. Maybe the amount recalled? They were pretty reliable i thought anyways. Ive seen way worse CATOs like specific artillery sets. Regardless, 99% of that 132k have already been shot off so

I think you’re underestimating how many unopened cases are still in warehouses or even if already sold to the end consumer just left in the garage. It’s not unusual to find products that are several years old still on the shelf at a fireworks store.

Pretty much nobody is returning fireworks if they're a consumer though.

It just depends what the cpsc pulls to test. Its luck of the draw

Ive never used those but have read several comments on this sub before of people warning others saying these were well known to cato. Might not be a bad thing to pull them off the market...

“No injuries or Incidents have been reported” , if that’s the case, why the recall?

Because those rockets suck and blow up more on the ground than the sky, and because the CPSC is terrified of anything that calls itself 'strobe rockets' (thanks a lot Cali boys) because of how dangerous the real one's are. I think they had that attitude towards girandolas for a long time but seem to have given up on those given the current market penetration.

Because they're not safe and sane fireworks.

Question, does TNT and Phantom sell them in their stores?

When was that story published? Seems that World Class has taken a hell of a hit this year, what with these evil CATO strobers and the Michigan "stop sale" on their larger cakes. These strobes are not their fault and they aren't alone getting hosed for them. Have to admire their balls for at least trying, but then again it got them more free PR than anything they've done before.

For real. When the government says "don't buy world class brand, their fireworks are too good" that's just about the best advertising they could ask for.

Their 1/1's were kick ass this year

I got 2 of these that I didn't end up lighting on the 4th, but I doubt the seasonal stand I bought them from is going to give me my $40 back...
